Quirks
Mysterious mutations that gave people powers and more, but not everyone had those, only 80% of the human population presented said mutations.
This intrigued the vessel a lot. what had mutated? Is that factor the same for everyone? How could a mutation like this spread so fast among them? How these quirks actually work?
They knew the powers that vessels had, but those creatures weren't insects or descending from a deity and a amorphous black fluid, so how did they worked?
The population of this world seems to hold prosperity and peace, or so the vessel thought.Y/n's pov
This new world is... interesting? The inhabitants here are rather... curious. They're not made by void nor the msjority has a carapace to protect themselves. But they still have those abilities and features...
it's... fascinating...
There is also beings dressed in colourful or weird ways whose protect the habitants, like the five knights and the vessels are supposed to do? Is that what they are?
As I walk down the street I noticed that the locals look at me weirdly? They keep murmuring things I don't understand. I don't know the language here, this may be a big problem.
Maybe my appearance frightened them? I've seen some folks with tails, wings, horns, why would my appearance be weird? It's make no sense!
I... I don't like this feeling. Them looking at me muttering incomprehensible stuff, I don't like it.
I dash into the nearest alley, maybe I can make my appearance more likely to the people of this world.
I focused and created a shell resembling a human, but I'll keep the skull on me. I... like it, it... makes me feel... safe.~time skip~
I've been wandering around the streets for so long, a bench to restore my strength would be nice.
Thankfully there's a some sort of garden? It has some benches and weird structures that the small ones seems to enjoy, it seems like a good place to rest.
I sit on a empty bench and look around. This place seems so peaceful and calming.
I close my eyes and I inhale, mimicking the human habit of breathing through inhaling and exhaling. This way of breathing is different from what I've seen back at home, not I need to. Maybe it's because of the biological differences that differ humans to insects to vessels.
I've also discovered that there are insects in this world! But there're maskless, so without free will, snd incredibly small.
It's rather sad that the only species I'm familiar with are also too small compared to the other living creatures of this world.
As I keep looking around and thinking the main source of light is disappearing and the humans are retiring in their homes, they may rest at this time, I should too. I let my head down and fall into unconsciousness.~hours later~
I feel someone poking my skull, that wakes me from my "sleep".
I look around to find two of the people of the place poking me and giggling, muttering stuff, they smell weird.
I stand up, but, before I could leave, one of them collapses on the floor while the other emits a loud laugh at the sight of the other.
What happen? Did the infection arrived here too?? I nudge the unconscious person, scared that they may have died. Thankfully I could hear snoring, so they only fell asleep. I put them on the bench and turn to find the other with their face in a bin emitting some horrible sounds. Maybe it's better if I get out of here.
It's still dark though, not many people are out in the streets yet. I'll probably keep on wandering for a bit.
