Just like old times

Jimin pov:

BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!
I heard my alarm go off as I groaned in annoyance. I reach out to my phone and stopped my alarm from annoying me more. And I rubbed my eyes and sit up before I fell asleep more. I furrowed my eyes in confusion as it was still dark in my room. "Huh?" I checked the time on my phone it was 4am. "SHIT I HAVE A FLIGHT TO CATCH"

I stepped out of the airport and breath in the fresh air, smiling and I took in the surrounding. It's really been a long time. I thought in my head as I hailed a taxi to go get some food before anything else. What can I say? I'm just a big eater okay? I'm definitely going to my favourite teokbokki place, I missed it so much.

I paid the taxi from the money I got changed at the airport, and hopped off.

I pushed the door opened and I was welcomed with the amazing smell of korean food oh how it made my mouth water. Pls I know I sound like I haven't seen food in days, I haven't eaten korean food in 7 years! Cut me some slack! I mean yeh there were korean food in USA but I'm a picky eater so I really need it to be GOOD hence I didnt try them. Oops? Well anywyas-

"Jimin is that you?!" I heard someone say, getting my attention away from the soup that one customer was having. I check out food too okay?

"Halmoeniiii" I sing song happily and ran to hug her. "I missed you so much!!" I said to her as I bended down a bit hugging her. She hugged me back saying "me too" and then pulled away to flick my forehead
"What was that for?!" I asked with my eyebrows furrowed and a visible pained expression on my face.

"If u missed me that much you would hav visited me before, not waiting for 10 years for that" "you know if I could I would have! And it's only 7 years! I'm sorry okay" I said with a pout knowing she cant be mad at me more than 2 minutes. "Aish okay just go sit there I'll go get your favourite" she said pointing to the empty table at the side. "I missed you halmoeni! Cant you stay and eat it with me??" I asked putting my puppy eyes that works like a charm. "Are you sure u missed me? Because by your expressions when you walked in you must miss my food more" she said as she started to walk away.  I just chuckled and screamed "NO I MISSED YOU MORE HALMEONI" I can see her smiling from behind the counter as she went to make my food.

I sat down at the table she told me to and just looked took out my phone to scroll through Instagram.

She is not my biological grandmother but she acts like one. I met her in my highschool days because I used to come here often and sometimes she would give me free food or I'll help her with the dishes. And somehow we made a really good bond. She takes care of me whenever I had a hard time cuz of my parents or from school. I'm grateful for her.

I finished up my toekbokki and as I asked grandma stayed with me till I finish and I talked with her about my life over seas and how I finally came back to settle down here.

After leaving the restaurant, I looked at the time and it's 3pm already. I'll meet him tomorrow for now I'll just enjoy the rest of the day. I thought in my head and immediately thought of going to that one place that I really wanted to visit as I came here. The namsan tower.

It was walking distance to halmeoni's place so why not just walk. I plugged in my headset and continue walking in the direction as I'm familiar with it.   Spring day by bts was playing and it couldn't have felt calmer.

I finally reached the tower and I got to the top. So I disconnected my headset and took in my view. It was breathtaking. Now I remember why I loved coming here often.

I closed my eyes feeling the small breeze hit my body. It was calming. Just like old times.

I really liked travelling alone so being here alone was not a problem. There were some people, couples or just tourists who's also enjoying the view but they didnt really bother me as you could say, I was on my own world.

I stayed at the tower for a while looking at the amazing scenery. I felt at home. It's not literally my home but coming back to halmoeni's restaurant, and being at the top of the namsan tower is something I'm too familiar with. I'm happy to be back.  I thought as I smiled.

After I was satisfied with everything I decided to go as i still need to find a place to stay for the night.
