Nelson wasn't expecting much when he had applied to join the staff that worked with young teens that had interests in learning the older medical practices, and general practices that may save someone's life one day. Receiving the letter giving him the congratulations on being hired did give a bit of a surprise, though he wouldn't complain about it; After all it was the beginning of a new life for him. He could leave behind what he had done in the past and start new working with mostly retired doctors that knew nothing about his background. The one who wasn't retired was the one Nelson hadn't thought of when he was told that there was one who was still working in the medical field. It was the one who had hired him; The one who ran the entire thing, spent six hours teaching apprentices, and after all that working five hours with an emergency response team. He wasn't exactly sure how the other was able to function with so little time to rest, though it did make him admire the other a bit as he knew what it was like to live that way. Taking everything in took awhile as he had received the news he'd be staying within the building as everyone else did; Having a room that had been cleared after the unfortunate passing of the oldest staff member that had been there before he came in. Everything was returned to the remaining family members that were able to take the things the previous staff member had, and all who worked with them attending their funeral. It did tug on his heart, as he understood how it was to lose someone like that. However, he focused on the present, and the new beginning he hoped he could keep.
