LILLIAN

"What do you wanna do today?" I ask Anissa, sitting beside her on the couch.

"I'm kind of hungry."

"We just ate lunch," I laugh.

"A little snack?" She asks, giving me puppy dog eyes.

"Fine," I groan.

I get up and go to the kitchen, cutting up some strawberries and blueberries for her. I put it in a bowl and give them to her, she watches Frozen as I go back to the kitchen. I jump on the counter and go on my phone.

My phone rings and it's Rebecca.

"Hello?" I ask.

"Hey, is everything going good?"

"Yeah, she's been good for the last few days, how's everything there?"

"Good, really good. Has Lorenzo been back?"

"He came back once to get a few clothes but that's it, and sometimes when we go to the park he's there with his friends."

"Alright, well if anything happens just call me."

"Yeah, bye," I say then hang up.

I scroll on Instagram for a bit before seeing Ava's new post. The caption says 'single lol', wait a minute. I call her.

"Ava? Did you and Landon break up?"

"Yeah, yay! Now I'm in the single life like you!" She jokes.

"Wanna come over?"

"You think I'm allowed?"

"Yeah, I'll send you the address just now."

I hang up the phone and send her the address, shoving my phone in my pocket I walk back to Anissa to see her snoring on the couch. I chuckle and pick her up, walking her upstairs to her room.

I kiss her forehead and put a blanket over her, closing the door but leaving it a bit open in case she wakes up. Just as I go downstairs I hear knocking at the door, I open it and see Ava there with wine.

"Really?" I ask as she walks in, I close the door behind her.

She sits down on the couch after getting glasses for the wine, pouring some for both of us.

"What happened?"

"He cheated," she shrugs.

"With?"

"With Kelsey, but I should've expected it. She was his first love," she chuckles.

"Yeah but he was your first."

"Eh, I'll find someone else," she shrugs.

Just then the door opens and Lorenzo walks in, he looks at us and chuckles.

"Drinking on the job Lillian?"

"I'm not going to drink that much," I shrug. He comes and sits in front of us.

"I want some," he says and pours some for himself.

"What's the gossip?" He jokes.

"Gossip?" Ava laughs.

"You guys seem like in the shit talking mood," he shrugs.

"My boyfriend cheated on me," Ava shrugs.

"Oh shit, who?"

"Landon Kel."

"Landon?! Well shit," he says.

"You know him?" I ask.

"Yeah, he's in my friend group, we don't talk much but we're cool. I'm actually surprised he cheated, he always talked so highly of you."

"Really?"

"Yeah, you're Kelsey right?" He asks making me choke on my wine.

"No, I'm Ava," she sighs.

"Oh shit, I'm sorry."

"It's fine, not my problem anymore," she shrugs.

"I'm sure you'll find someone else," he smiles.

"Hopefully," Ava sighs.
