Jenny Zeng POV.

The three men cornering the unknown girl immediately recognised my familiar voice.

"Oh so it's you guys again. Didn't I tell you to leave poor girls alone?" I asked, cracking my neck, getting ready for a fight. The three men quickly ran off, finally letting me get a better look at the victim's face.

I squatted down beside her, grabbing her face.

"You're quite a pretty one, I have to admit." I stated as I was looking at her face. Without asking a question, I grabbed her arm and started walking towards my apartment.

"You look like someone who wouldn't have a home...." I muttered under my breath, letting the other girl barely hear it.

"You're not technically wrong, I don't really have a home" she answered with a husky voice. She is quite mesmerising...

After getting to my apartment, I pushed her into one of the chairs in the kitchen, getting my first aid kit.

While cleaning up her bruise, I had enough time to analyse her face. She seemed very familiar but I had no idea why, my best bet was that maybe we went to the same middle school or something like that.

"Hey uh... Thanks for saving me from those guys earlier by the way. I'm Yu Yan" the brunette girl said, and I just nodded as a response, focusing on her bruise.

"I'm Zeng Keni, but just call me Jenny." I answered after I cleaned her up. "Now, you're going to take a shower. The bathroom is over there" I pointed to the bathroom with my head.

Yu Yan just bowed and went into the bathroom. Just as she closed the door behind her I realised that there were no towels inside, so before she was able to do anything, I grabbed a towel from my bed, and threw it inside the bathroom without looking.

"Jennyyyyy, I'm done but... I have no clothes" Yu Yan yelled from the bathroom. I just rolled my eyes, took a pajama I found in my dresser and opened the bathroom door. I wasn't expecting her to stand there naked, so my instant reaction was to throw the clothes onto her body and run into the kitchen.

My heart pounding from the sudden sight of boobs, I slowly sat down onto the chair, waiting for the brunette girl to come out of the bathroom.

Luckily I didn't have to wait for too long, as after only about 1 minute I saw Yu Yan coming out of the bathroom. Her face red from embarrassment, holding her clothes, she looked so adorable... Gosh what am I thinking?! I only met this girl half an hour ago!

"So Yu Yan...  What do you want for lunch? We can have jam with bread, or bread with jam" the girl let out a small chukle, and answered with bread with jam please.

I already found her so adorable, even tho I barely knew her. I quickly smeared the jam on the two pieces of bread, and I sat down on the other chair.

"How did you end up in that... Very bad situation by the way?" I asked while munching on my bread like a baby.

"It's quite a complicated story, I'll explain if we get more close" she answered, and I just nodded since her answer was reasonable. I wouldn't tell a sensitive story of mine to a stranger either.

[Time skip to night]

"So Yuyan... As you see, I only have one bed, but I can sleep on the floor. Or we can both sleep on the bed, we can be as far apart as you want to" I offered. She didn't answer me, just layed down into my bed and patted the place next to her.

I am laying here, next to a stranger in my bed. What has my life become... It's almost 1 AM, and I couldn't sleep. Millions of thoughts running through my head. I missed my mom, a lot. She truly understood me but I of course ruined my relationship with her... I just wish I didn't do drugs at all.

I could live in a mansion, eat fancy gfood every day and laugh at the problems of poor people.... But now I am the one rich people are probably laughing about. To be honest, I deserve it. I was so spoiled back in those days, I would make fun of girls in kindergarten that didn't have all the barbies. Petty little kindergarten drama... But those girls were seriously hurt by my words, and I hated myself for it.

As I am still deep in my thoughts, I suddenly feel a head on my chest. I was quick to realise it was Yu Yan, and since she was sleeping I didn't want to wake her up by moving her head.

I slowly closed my eyes, and drifted off to sleep...
