The Invitation ~ Heeseung ff

Chapter 2

We were busy learning about calculus in math, I know boring, but I just went on and did my work.

Luckily it was the first day of school, so that means we start with the easy part of math.

The only problem is that I find the easy art of math difficult.

“Wow this is so boring, this work is so easy!” Jen exaggerated and looked over to me, who was receiving help from Jake.

“This doesn’t make sense” I said frustrated. “I’ve done this sum about 3 or 4 times now and still I can’t get the right answer!” I sighed quietly whining to Jake.

He shook his head “I can’t seem to get it either.”

We both looked at each other in disbelief.

“Do you need help?” a sweet voice tapped on my shoulder and I saw Heeseung looking at both Jake and I.

“Yes!” Jake said desperately and moved across his seat so Heeseung could explain to us.

“So, when you’re working out the derivative of this graph-“ Heeseung extended his arm pointing at the board. And at the same time, his sleeve was revealed showing the same scratches I had seen before.

Obviously I didn’t say anything, but sometimes Jake doesn’t know when to be quiet.

“What’s that?” Jake said grabbing Heeseung’s arm and looking at it.

It caught him off guard as Heeseung flinched and hid his arm, but then a smile appeared on his face “My cat, he was a little scared on the flight here and I got scratched.” His innocent smile made it believable for Jake and he continued explaining, but I wasn’t buying it. This boy’s got a secret.

Lunch time came and it’s my favourite time because I just love food.

But first, Sunghoon and I go to our lockers to get our stuff ready for the next periods, and since he was showing Heeseung around, he joined.

“I’m just going to the bathroom, I’ll meet you guys outside” Sunghoon said and rushed.

“He seems like he really needs it” I joked and we both laughed.

It was a little awkward being alone with a boy I didn’t know, but something made me feel comfortable around Heeseung.

“So, we kind of hang with a bunch of people at break” I explained to Heeseung as we walked to the field “I’m only friends with Sunghoon and Jake and I’m friendly with the others, they’re sweet and nice so you should like them” I babbled in my nervous state.

“It’s okay Y/n, I’ll be fine, thank you” he smiled and we arrived at the tables with my ‘friends’.

Heeseung was introduced to everyone; Sunoo, Jay, Karina and Lia. And also, another new boy in our grade Jungwon, who I also met. His eyes were shaped like marbles and his dimples were really cute. Is this year really the year of new cute guys?

Sunghoon then arrived and we all just started munching our food while Jay and Jake threw a ball around, as they usually do.

“Ah! I forgot my music book back in my locker!” I suddenly remembered and hit my head with my hand. But before I could get up I was stopped.

“I saw you didn’t pack it in, so here” Sunghoon handed me my book.

“Ah thank you!!” I said and gave him a little hug. Even though he doesn’t really do affection, sometimes I sneak in a hug or two.

“So how long have you two been dating?” Jungwon asked looking at both me and Sunghoon. We looked at each other and then back at him.

“No it’s not like that”

“I have a girlfriend already” Sunghoon said harshly, which kind of felt like a stab in the back.

“Ohh” Jungwon said moving closer to us “Then that means I can take you this Friday night?”

He was looking at me, directly in my eyes.

“Me?” I asked because honestly I just met him and he’s cute but that’s a little nerve-wrecking.

“That’s a great idea!” Jake stepped in and put his arms around me and Sunghoon “Let’s all do something on Friday night to celebrate our two new friends!”

“I second that” Sunoo said and we all agreed.

I looked up to the tall Jake standing next to me and gave an assuring look ‘thanks’.

“So you have music next period?” Heeseung asked quietly as he came up to me and I nodded. “I do too, can I walk with you?”

“Sure” I smiled and we both continued to eat our lunch.

Short chapter but I'll be posting more tomorrow :)
Just a clarification, everyone in this fanfiction is the same age (unless states otherwise) therefore its weird that Jungwon and Heeseung are in the same class, but that's how my story goes haha :))
