They walked around me with glares sharp as a blade. The Fallen with their pirated technology aimed their sights on me.The captain let out screams of horror and death a scream that could make a normal man death, but i was no normal man.Yet I cant even say I am even human anymore.
Like a swift wind I pulled out my golden sidearm pressed it against the captain's chin and whispered to him "Are those your last words?" and without mercy I pulled the trigger. The magnificent sound that came from my sidearm was like rose petals flowing through the wind. The shot itself made the captain lose his cursed soul and made his comrades feel fear for the first time.
The remaining Fallen vandals and dregs backed up for retreat, but one lowly dreg went up to his captain and placed their house banner on his body. His eyes was wanting revenge, but he knew he could not get close to me let alone kill me. Running faster than bullets back to there sturdy carriers they let out a cries of sadness.
The carrier let out a large spark of electricity shocking the air around it. Soon it speeded across the open sky leaving the remains of their dead captain.
I kept on walking against the sun drenched city of the pirated Chicago. It was no longer boasting its glorious architecture and active streets filled with pedestrians.Only thing that remains were overgrown moss, rusted cars, and crumbling buildings. At least that what I thought.
A looming sight of a town came across the a gigantic stash of rubble. Makeshifts walls and towers made of rusted iron and covered by overgrown moss surrounded the town like an endless shadow.Yet in this shadow was light. No more then just a spark, but in times like this a spark is more then enough. Slowly and with caution I made my way there.
The front gate was guarded by multiple men with carrying weapons from the collapse and withered clothing that made them seem helpless if the Fallen decided to strike. Their faces were gloomy and words were dark. Until they saw me.
"Lo-look a guardian!" one said. Quickly a man that seemed like their boss came out and glared at me. A glare so powerful that it sent shivers down my body and made me wanting to regret ever coming here.
"What is your business here?" Said the man letting loose the glare that was staring me down.
"Just passing by. Can you let me stay here for a while?"
"Why yes of course!" he shouted. At first the statement sounded like a cry of joy, but it was more then just that.
The gate opened with a creak of rusted metal. But what lied in the the fortification was something I have seen to many times. Yes I could hear all the helpless people whispering their last words.....
