Hanging Out

You smile at his text and walk out of your apartment door. You close it behind you and see Kuroo patiently waiting in his car. You quickly walk to his car and knock on his window. He looks up from his phone and smiles, he then unlocks his car. You open the door and get in. You smile and say hey. "Hey Y/n" he says watching you settle in. You put your seat belt on you and he backs out of the parking lot. You look at his hand and quickly look around "damn" you say in your head as you watch the cars pass.

You start guessing where he will take you because he still hasn't told you. "Are we going downtown?" "Mmmm maybe," he says sexily driving with one arm out the window and one on the stirring wheel. You look at his hands again and close your eyes "What the heck am I doing" you say to yourself. "Looking at something Y/n~," he says. "What about the Ramen shop" you blurt out. "Nope," he says looking at the road. "Uhhh how about the boba shop?" "Mmmm nahhh," "Dang... I can't think of anything" you say thinking hard. "Wait...THE MANGA SHOP?" you say excitedly. "Eh, nope not that either," he says shaking his head while pulling up to the destination.

You sigh not realizing that he was pulling up. "Damn, you really don't like it huh? We can Just leave then" he says looking behind him so he can back out. "Wait no no" he continues to check for cars coming. "I didn't see this at first!! Ahh I'm sorry" he starts backing out ignoring you. "NO BO IT'S, IT'S GOOD...KURO, ITS GREAT" you say holding on to his arm. He stops the car and looks at you concerned "Did you just call me bo?" he says. "I LIKE THIS CAFE," you say. "That's Bokuto's nickname," he says quietly. "HAVE YOU BEEN WITH BOKUTO?" You look at him surprised trying not to laugh. "NO, HAVE YOU?" You say offended, he starts to fake cry which he is really bad at. "How could you cheat on me," he says with an ugly crying face.

You gasp and put your hand over your heart, "I would never" you gasp dramatically "How dare you assume something so derange." You open the door and get out, you pretend to slam the door but softly closes it. "Im out of here," you say. He laughs and says "Fine, then I'm leaving you."

You notice that he's not out of the car yet and you run back and stand next to his side of the car, a little embarrassed. He parks and gets out and grabs your hand, you get a little startled at his grip but it didn't hurt so it was okay. You look up at the safe sign and it was a cat cafe so it was even better "Ahhh look at how cute these cats are" you say letting go of his hand to go pet the cats. While your playing with the cats. "Just you sir? The waitress says to Kuroo grabbing his notepad, "Uh, no actually there's two of us" he says looking over in your direction while you were still petting the cats. The waitress nods her head while she writes down the order that he gives her. "On the second one put some whipped cream," he says smiling. She smiles back and writes down the order.

You stand up and walk over where he was sitting. "This place is really cute," you say in love with it all. "I thought you would enjoy it" he says. "I love it!!" you say happily, he softly smiles. The waiter brings the drinks and looks at you up and down. "Mmm so this is her" she mumbles putting the drinks on the table. "Here you are sir," she says smiling. She looks at you at scrunches her nose a little and walks away. "She's not that pretty" the waiter thought as she walked to a couple seated on the opposite side of the cafe.

You guys talk about the plans for the summer and notice that neither one of you has a lot of things going on. You take a sip of your drink and smile a little, "You got me matcha" you say surprised. "How did you know I like matcha Kuro" you say raising your eyebrow at him. He smiles a little, "Well every time we go to get Starbucks you get Matcha with 2 pumps of vanilla, so I assumed you would like it if I got you matcha today to drink" he says shrugging it off like it was nothing. "Ahh wow you do pay attention huh!" you say a little intrigued and surprised. He nods his head likes its normal. "What the heck?!?! He says it like it normal to pay attention to someone like me." You thought while sipping on your matcha.

"Man I feel like it's been forever since we've hung out," you say putting your head on your palm. "Yeah I agree, but whenever I get to, it's worth every moment of my time," he says petting the cat.

{Narrators POV}

The waitress watches from the corner of her eye while taking a customer's older "Does he actually like her??" She thought in her head as she tells her customer she will come back with their order. "He really could do better," she says sighing and walking back to her friend who was at the cashier. Her friend frowns and shakes her head. "What! He seriously could do a lot better" the waitress says defensively. "You don't even know if they're dating for all you know they could be friends but it does seem like they are a thing," her friends says walking back to the kitchen to make the order. The waitress gasp "Wait she's right...I don't know if they are dating they really could be just friends for all we know, that means that the girl would give me his number." The waitress comes up with her plan and doesn't tell her friend what she will do.

{Back to Y/n POV}

"You're a good friend Kuroo...I hope when we're older we're like this too, plus I don't wanna be lonely" you laugh a little. "I will do whatever I can to make sure you're not a lonely old lady" "Ah thanks, that's really good to hear," you say sighing a little. "You're really sweet you know that," you say, you both make eye contact and slowly get closer. "How's it going, guys!" The waitress says smiling at the both of you, you almost jump out of your seat. "Oh, uh it's going well," Kuroo says blushing a little "O-Oh it's going good thank you" you replay quietly, slowly getting redder by the second. Kuroo rubs the back of his neck sighing. "Well tell me if you need anything," the waitress says happily and walks away. You take a drink of your boba and feel how hot your face was "jeeeez" you say under your breath.

Kuroo looks at you and smirks, "Your face, it's a little red~" You internally start screaming and cover your face with your hands. "S-so is yours!! Your face is red to Kuro I don't wanna hear it!!" He feels his face "I-" you laugh "Well played Chibi-chan" He says drinking his drink. "That's what I thought," you say pulling your hoodie to your nose. In your head you think "Ahhh man this is so embarrassing," You see Kuroo still trying to calm his face by rubbing it but it obviously wasn't helping. "Uhh...ima run to the restroom," you say quietly while getting out of your chair to walk to the restroom.

{Narrators  POV}

The waitress see's Y/n walk into the bathroom and smirk "Now it's my time to shine" she thought as she puts her notes on the counter and walks to the bathroom. She sees Y/n wetting her face with cold water, "Hey, are you alright?" the waitress asks. Y/n looks up and quietly says "Yes, I'm okay thank you" while dabbing a paper towel to dry her face off. The waitress walks to the next sink over "Are you and that guy dating?" She asks while looking at her through the mirror, Y/n shakes her head, "Oh, well, uhhh can I have his number then?" the waitress says with her eyes sparkling.

Y/n smiles a little and nods her head "Sure" she says quietly. The waitress gives her phone to Y/n, she puts in Kuroo's number into her phone. She gives the phone back to the waitress. "Thank you so much!" The waitress says walking out the bathroom "I really appreciate it" she says smirking.

{Back to Y/n's POV}

You walk back to where you and Kuroo were seated "Sorry to keep you waiting" you quietly say sitting down. "No no, your find, do you want to leave now" he asks looking out the window, "I kinda want to walk around Kyoto together" he says. "Sounds good to me" you say, you both stand up and grab your drinks. You guys thank the waitress and leave the cafe walkingout to the breezy cool air. Your hair was every where, "Jeez, my hair is everywhere right now" you say laughing, you grab you hair tie. "Can I do it?" he ask looking down at you. "Eh- y-you want to tie my hair up?" you say surprised at his question. "Yeah, I'm pretty good with styling hair" he says cocky, "Will see about that" you say handing him your tie. You softly take your hair out of your face and puts it up in a low ponytail. You puts the shorter piece behind your ear "There" he whispers.

You couldn't help but smile, you check your hair in your phone "Not to bad not to bad" you say laughing at how well he styled your hair.

{Narrator's POV}

Y/n and Kuroo enjoy their time together, their evening at the cafe was perfect, the waitress who ever was planning on something. It didn't bother Y/n that the waitress asked for Kuroo's number because, after all they were just...friends.
