It has been a years since AJ and I got together and honestly it is the best year ever! The year were I'm super happy and the year where the world seems right. I woke up next to AJ and smile brightly kissing her cheek then heading into the shower.
"How in the world you are up?" I ask after I came out of the shower smiling at her."I have no idea. Oh wait I do! It was because of your horrible singing" she told as I rolled my eyes at her. "Oh stop being such a hater." I said as I walked around the bed and open the nightstand on her side looking for my watch, I recently bought. I find it and smiled widely "I must be! When you woke me up from dreaming about being with Beyonce." I open my mouth in an 'o' shape and watch her biting back a smile. "Please, Beyonce is beyond hot but she ain't got shit on me." I did a booty twirl after saying. April laughed loudly hopping out of bed. "I'm going to shower since I won't drop back to sleep." I nod as she head to the bathroom. I then put on her earrings I always steal from her but they are just too perfect! "I'm still into you!" She sang loudly. And she talks about me? She isn't any better than I am. I bang on the bathroom door "shut up! You sound like a dying hyaena." I laugh when I heard her gasping. She is perfect even her terrible singing is perfect. "Whatever Nicole. I see you are all dress up. Please go where you are going and leave me to my star moment like I left you." She told and I laugh, oh how I regret getting that shower karaoke now. "Wow, you are running me now? Fine. Anyway I'll be back in a second dress nice we are heading out after. I'll bring back burgers though." I heard her groan but squealed at the burgers, she is tiny but loves her belly. "Fine if I must go out with you. And yay hose burgers better taste good or I'm not going no where." I struggle to not replay a dirty comment to the burger part, "of course love. Bye" with that I left the house nervous.
I meet up with Brianna who as usual was hanging with Dean. I have no idea what the deal is between those two is.
"Do you have everything in order?" I ask not bothering to greet them.
"Yes Nicole. Jon here, help me"
"Dean help you? Great now I'm scared" the smile on dean's face dropped as it was replace with and offended look. "Excuse me? I happen to be great with this stuff." He said as I send him a small smile and sigh taking a seat. "Yeah, I'm just nervous." I told him.
"We can see." Both reply in unison as I have them a fake laugh rolling my eyes.
After making sure everything was perfect, I head home to AJ and found her all dress up looking gorgeous as ever. "Wow" the air left my lungs as I watching the blushing woman, "aw, Nicole." She said sweetly smiling making her way over to me. "You brought my burgers right?" Her sweetness left and I straighten my face again. "Yeah, here you go. I'm off to shower again and get dress." I kiss her on the lips deeply before we both reluctantly pulled away from each other and I head to the shower while she rip open the bag.
"You look amazing April," I told her as pulled up to the place I first carried her in our first date. "Yeah, only to come here. Not that I don't love this place. But I don't see why we have to dress up." AJ said existing the car as I smiled and got out walking over to her taking her hand in mine.
"Because it is going to be different this time" I informed
"How different?"
"Different"
"What like no playing the fountain?"
"If you don't want to" I smiled at her.
She gasp when she saw the table and the little band there. "I love you April just thought I'd treat you. Hope you still have room in your stomach for more food." I said as I lead her to our table I had set up. This time I had lights put in some of the flowers and trees and around the fountain. "I always have room in my stomach." She told and I laughed as she sat down.
Diner was nice but I'm hella nervous thinking about what I'm about to do. She watch me worriedly "babe are you okay?" She asked and I nod. It is now or never, I thought. I rang a bell it had on the table for this reason and she covered her ears, giving me crazy looks while I send her a small smile. "What is wrong with you- where did all you people come out from?" She asked looking at everyone I invited as I signal the lead singer to being to sing. When she turn to face me again I was down on one knee and she gasp knowing what was about to come. "YES!!" She said before I even say a word or pulled out the ring yet. Everyone laughed and she covered her mouth "go ahead." She told. Well that makes this easier.
"April Mendez, I've love you for so long since we first laid eyes on each other. You made me work and work and WORK for you but I didn't mind. If I was still had to work to get you, I wouldn't have given up. You mean the world to me and you make me so darn happy. My love for you is huger than your appetite....which is huge." Everyone laughed and agreed as she was to stunned to even say shut up so she smiled and blush. "AJ I love that about you and everything. You are to damn perfect. I wouldn't want to spend the rest of my life with no one else but you. Will you marry me?" I asked and pulled out the ring box showing her the ring. She said nothing but her eyes were wide and I became nervous and confuse. Did she not like my speech. "Now is the time you say something." Dean told her as she looked at him then at me and squeal loudly. "YES YES YES! I thought since I blurt it out earlier you would have just skip it. Slip it on here" I smiled and did as she told, sliding the ring on her finger which fitted perfectly everyone clapped and I was about to say something but she connected our lips as we kissed for dear life earning groans after a while. We pulled away breathe less. "I love you Nicole so darn much." She told me and I smile.
"Guys, I have an announcement to make!" The party was going good so far friends, co-worker and both dudes of our family was here. Everyone turn to look at Dean who was hitting his glass. "Good now that I have your attention, I just wanted to say Brianna and I are together......now" he told and kiss her as we clap and they pulled away smiling while she blushed.
