Brady POV
"Hey Linc."
"Oh, uh hey Brady."
Brady noticed something different with Lincoln. He seemed more shy then usual.
"Yo. What's on your mind man?"
"It's uh nothing. C'mon we gotta get to class."
"Alright."
No one POV
"Now, what is the estimated price of the toys."
Both Brady and Lincoln are sitting in class, bored out of their minds. Brady didn't really know what the teacher was talking about-he could barely pay attention with Samuel trying to flirt with Lincoln.
"F@ggot," he whispered to himself. (a/n I CAN SAY THAT SLUR AND ANY SLUR I SAY IN THIS FAN FIC I CAN CLAIM ANYWAY BACK TO THE STORY.)
"Now class, please work on page 214 in your books with your associated partner. Samuel, Brooke B, you are partners. Brooke R,   Cameron. Nora, Charlotte. Gianna, Izzy. Luke, Glenn. And finally, Lincoln and Brady."
Yes! Brady thought to himself, he loved getting paired with Lincoln. He never had to do barely any work and whenever he was confused, Lincoln would always explain to him how to do it.
He started walking over to Lincoln, half expecting for Lincoln to scare him. But this time, he didn't. Something was wrong, really wrong. And Brady could see it on his face.
"Uh what page was it again?;" Brady asked, trying to break the cold, hard ice.
"214. Math book #7," Lincoln snapped back.
"Jesus, what's wrong man? You always try and scare me."
Lincoln looked into Brady's eyes. Brady noticed the dark circles under his eyes. It looked like he'd been awake for a week straight.
~
Lincoln admired Brady's chocolate brown eyes, they always seemed to glimmer in the light. He hated something about him, though. He was so...lovable. So lovable in fact he made Lincoln, the kid who's supposed to be transphobic, homophobic, and racist fall for him. He realized that when Brady said that, he was acting weird. He decided he'd act like everything was ok, attempting to make Brady stop asking questions.
"Eh, just tired. Now c'mon," he laughed, mid sentence.
"We gotta get this done."
~
Brady quickly flipped to page 214 and immediately started copying what Lincoln had down. It wasn't easy copying down everything he writes, for he does write very fast. That always a weird thing about him-he was a good reader and good at math. Not many people have that skill.
~
"And...done!"
"Geez Linc, why do you write so fast."
"I guess it's just a skill I have."
"Whatever, doesn't matter, now c'mon. We gotta check with the teacher." Brady started getting up, Lincoln following quickly behind him.
"Good. Good. Good. Good. Good. Good...Nice job, you get an A." The teacher wrote a big A in the paper and told them to get ready for gym.
~
"Why oh why is it so goddamn hard to get into gym uniforms?!;" Brady complained.
"To be honest they shouldn't even exist, I'd rather do gym in my regular clothes," Lincoln said in response.
"We should start a revolution," Brady said, jokingly.
"Doubt it'd work. Do you know how strict our school is? We literally have to do 50 million pages of homework every night."
They stared at each other and laughed. Soon after the gym teacher yelled at them to meet in the gym in about 3 minutes.
~
"Today, we're gonna play kick ball. No Brady you cannot tackle Lincoln and no Lincoln you cannot tackle Brady."
"Awww c'mon," Brady said in response to the gym teachers side comment.
~
Gym was going pretty normal, besides the fact Brady couldn't stop staring at Lincoln. It wasn't in a friend way, either, more of a gay way. As soon as Lincoln was up to kick, he knew he was in trouble. Being in the other team meant he had to get him out, but he didn't wanna do that. When he kicked though, it was luckily a home run. Brady grabbed the ball and then started chasing after Lincoln. Once Lincoln was cornered, he started faking hitting him with the ball. They both started blushing and laughing and Brady finally let Lincoln go. After that though, gym was pretty normal.
