Brady POV
"Great. Now time to be isolated in my room," He flopped on his bed, and started to reach into his pocket for his phone.
"Shit...forgot."
He pulled out his hand with nothing in it, for he remembered he was grounded for doing some stupid thing with his friends.
"Brady!;" His mother called into his room.
"Yeah?"
"I need you to do the dishes. I'm going out with your father."
He never liked the term father. He didn't even like the term dad. His "opposite gender term of mom" was the reason he couldn't talk to any of his friends. Wait- Lincoln. He can't forget about him. He has to see him. Today couldn't have been the end. Never.

Nobody POV
Brady woke up after forgetting about the park and taking a "quick" nap, and attempted to start reaching for his phone but then remembered everything that had happened-now he was stuck in his room, doing nothing but chores and watching TV. Looking around to find the TV remote, he saw a note he had written on his desk.
LINCOLN PARK 6 PM
"Shit!"
He turned on the TV and checked the time.
"2? Already?" He figured he must've just been really tired the night before and slept in. At least the wait was shorter.
He started to cry, thinking of everyone he had to leave behind. Obviously not all of them would be in the same home room next year, and he knew after all the drama that has happened-he and his friends wouldn't be in the same class.
Thinking of anything related to school made it worse. By the time 3 o'clock hit, he was still a crying mess.
He curled up in a ball, and started drifting off to sleep.
~
"Brady!" He woke up to his mom calling him.
Rubbing his red eyes and stained cheeks, he called back.
"Yeah?"
"I need you to run to the store-we're out of eggs and bacon."
Brady checked the time on the tv- 5:50.
"Ok! Be out in a second!"
This was his chance. His chance to see Lincoln again. But how could he convince her? Or-he could lie.
Brady smiled. Checking in the mirror to make sure their were no more tear stains on his face, he walked out to the kitchen where his mom was standing.
"Uh mom I'll probably be late coming home- I uhhh." He had to think of a lie. Had to.
"I have to swing by dollar tree to see if they have something."
"Alright. Just be home before 9."
The lie worked-it worked. He couldn't believe it.
"You might want to get dressed first."
Brady looked down at his clothes, confused by his moms comment. Then- he realized. He was still in his school clothes.

After getting changed, Brady put on his shoes and walked out the door. Now was the time-the time to see Lincoln.
