Mondstadt Region, Teyvat
Virulent winds swirled all throughout Mondstadt, the people below warily avoiding the affected areas as best they could, lest they be swept up in the entropic aftermath of Stormterror's excursion.
The Windmills of Mondstadt spun uncontrollably, barely working to siphon the anomalous wind from the city. Few even began to show signs of strain, twisting and crackling in unusual ways, an ominous sign for the more keen-eyed citizens of Mondstadt.
However, none deny that the winds will always come...and go.
A sudden sense of tranquility swept over Mondstadt, wisps of strange energy culminating in the skies — before they suddenly vanished, taking the entropic winds with them.
The City of Wind, which had once been plagued by Stormterror's after effects...
It now shone with a radiance that seemed almost out of place compared to the previous dreary gray that polluted the free skies. Now, the sun shone a radiant glimmer into the expansive blue skies, a refreshing, tranquil wind sweeping over the streets, and by extension citizens, of Mondstadt.
From her office, Jean crossed her arms as she glanced outside of her window, placing down the pen between her fingers neatly. As the rays of sunshine began to shine through her window again, a small, yet relieved smile manifested upon her lips, her grayish-blue eyes softening ever so slightly.
"It seems they've succeeded." Jean let out a relieved sigh, unaware that even she herself had been holding it in. As she turned halfway to face the window, she let the excited cheers of the people of Mondstadt outside momentarily lull her senses in a sensation akin to a sweet reverie.
A reverie...
Yes. Perhaps it was time that Mondstadt returned to their sweet, freedom-rung dreams.
"I should probably get ready. They should be coming back any time now. The mission this time was a resounding success." Jean mused, her peaceful expression serene in the afterglow of the return of sorely missed sunlight. With the success of the mission, she had many things to consider now. And particularly...she wasn't one to let a good deed go unrewarded. She'd have to carefully consider what to grant the distant Travelers, (Y/N) and Paimon, in return for their assistance.
After all, with the feats they'd just assisted in accomplishing, she was sure even the finest Knights of Favonius couldn't have done it better.
However, her attention was drawn to the door, a sharp, dissonant knock echoing through the office and dispersing her musings.
"Acting Grand Master...a delegate from the Fatui wishes to have an audience with you."
Jean's brows visibly furrowed, a clear displeasure rising to her face as the previous radiant serenity faded from her face. She couldn't help but lament the poor timing of the news.
With one disaster on the path to be resolved, another comes knocking...
Jean stifled a humorous snort.
Typical of the Fatui.
Still, at the very least she took comfort in knowing that even they couldn't stifle the cheers of Mondstadt's citizens outside, the guiding chorus of excited remarks reminding her that at least for now, the people of Mondstadt could rest a little easier.
