The Confession:
August I confessed my feelings towards you in the most romantic comedy way I could have ever come up with. Sat on call with about five others as you searched for your next Mr or Miss Right. Every flick of your finger, I felt my heart rumble. I wanted so badly to tell you, I liked you. Much more than I did back in April. That morning I stumbled and fumbled over my words and you were in love with another. As everyone was leaving on by one, I took my chance. I left you a really corny line. Something most likely a fancy rom com director would love in a blockbuster film straight from Hollywood.
"If you ever want to try out a British Guy... You know where to find me" - Smooth isn't it. My mere confession of feelings towards you, lands us both into an awkward silence. You leave the call. Thoughts of regret and fear of ruining our friendship grew. But you came back. Your smile plastered on your face. It was sweet, but panicked. In Truth, you make me nervous. In the best way possible.
I knew you had just got out of a relationship, more toxic than a single drop of poison. Neither had i, but something was pulling me to you. I asked the question that was tumbling in my stomach with the butterflies who were circling. I asked you if you were okay. Shooting me a weak smile you ask if I was serious. I crashed into you like a wave reaching a shoreline. We both look unsure, it was different than the last confession but just as silent.
