Silver's POV

Being with Mephiles was a blast! He's so quiet and cute, he's certainly the one I need.... One I want...

His laugh was sweet and light, I loved the sound... His green eyes were captivating as he explained things he's read about. I glanced up at people who watched us warily, they must have held nothing against us, otherwise they thought we were just friends. He smiled absentmindedly. Mephiles bright me back to earth as he smacked the back of my head. I yelp in surprise. "Why?!" I ask anxiously. Mephiles laughed and instantly I relaxed. "You weren't listening." I watched him glance back over his shoulder. I mimicked him.
It looked like Sonic was having a little difficulty with Shadow.

Shadow's POV

I roll my eyes as Sonic took my hands in his. I have to admit, he was kinda cute.... His gorgeous green eyes, nothing like Mephiles' toxic green ones. His grip was soft, a lot softer than some others I know. I blink, my face heating up. I watch Sonic smile gently, "c'mon Shadow." He said lightly. To my surprise, I nod slowly and follow him as he starts to walk, my hands still in his grasp.

I didn't know why, but it felt like my heart was struggling to break free. That's how hard it was beating. I watch as he tugged me along into the forest. Why? I didn't really know...
I didn't even know why I was following him in the first place, like my brother said, it was against the rules.

But why was my heart pleading with me to try again?

Because he might be the one...
