The next day Stella was sitting in the parlor going over her class schedule. She had shown Dante the website and told him to find some activities.
Neither of them had mentioned the events of last night, Dante because he didn't want to lose his job, and Stella because she didn't exactly know how she felt about him yet and had regretted acting so chaotic when she heard her parents arrive.
Just then her phone chimed and she stared down at it reading a text. Her brows furrowed and her mind began to turn. Dante felt her shift in tension and could tell he hadn't seen this side of her before.
She walked passed him out of the room and he followed. Stella grabbed the chauffeur and told him where she needed to go. He promptly left to get the car ready. She walked into the game parlor and told two other men to follow her in the truck. Dante could tell this was serious.
In her frenzy she stopped by her fathers office and shut the door behind her before Dante could follow. Not but 30 seconds later she stormed out and down to the waiting car. Her father yelling after her, "Stella!"
He got in the back with her, the car took off and his uneasiness about her had him asking what was going on.
"Antionio is about to have his ass rattled." She stiffened. "When we get to the pier make sure to have your gun ready. I just got word that he's going to go after our big shipment. If he gets that he'll put us months behind."
Dante was about to get a taste of how dangerous this Stella was. He must have been oblivious to how many spies she had working for her, if by only a week later she was able to corner Antonio.
They pulled up to the pier seconds before Antonio turned down between crates in his car. A small sigh of relief came from her know their shipment was safe.
Stella was leaning on the hood of the Cadillac watching him as we walked up to her.
"Can I help you?" She questioned. Dante stood very alert at the side of the car.
"Well, I didn't know I'd be meeting the princess." He mocked. "I guess since you're here we might as well chat, You're Highness." Antonio huffed surveying how many men she had with her.
Stella pushed off the hood of the car and squared up to him. "What would you want to talk about with me?"
"It's simple really. You know what I came here for." He chided leaning down and taking softer.
Just now realizing the tip she had received was a ploy to get her here she responded, "Antonio, you know that I'd never make a deal with you." She said circling him. "You've taken from us for years. So if there's anything we need to talk about it's compensation." She looked over to one of her men and nodded to him. He quietly slipped behind one of Antonio's men, suffocating him and throwing him in the back of their car. Seconds later guns were pointed at each other. Stella and Antonio stood facing each other in complete stoicism. Antonio held up his hand to keep his men from firing. Stellas company was told not to engage unless they do.
Dante was watching the bastard carefully.
Then he shrugged and questioned, "Is that all you want?"
Stella squinted in disgust, "You disgust me." She then turned to walk away, but he grabbed her arm and whipped her back towards him.
"If you change your mind princess, with our two imports we could rule the upper east coast. In a partnership, or something more." He purred in her ear, whispering the last part.
Stella pushed off of him and stared him down. Dante was ready to shoot the bastard. She stalked back to the car and yelled, "Let's go boys."
Dante hadn't noticed but they put the shipment in the back of the truck that followed them and another car appeared to follow them home.
