Chapter 20: And Thus the JSDF Fought

Zara smiled when everyone returned, Ashley was sleeping, his head resting on Sinon's Lap.

"Can you explain this world to us?" Ironwood asked.

"Certainly. We will be seeing the Japanese Self Defence Force are in a fantasy type world that is rich in resources. Jaune is a High tier commando but is really lazy but means well. At the moment, he and a Small force are protecting the town of Italica. The Kings Daughter is there with some of her soldiers to help the defence but is overconfident in their tactics so they put Jaune and his team at the other end of town." Zara explains and everyone nods.

"So basically, watching how Modern military is better than Sword and shields?" Ruby said

"Basically," she said and the screen turns on

Its night time over Italica and everyone was on guard, Jaune and his Team wore Night vision Goggles and looked around. They were accompanied by 3 people. a Girl with a Black Dress, with red highlights and a bow on top of her head. Silver eyes and long black hair and a Big ass Scythe with her. This is Demi Goddess Rory "Ruby" Mercury

A Short White-haired girl with robes and a Staff, Lelei "Weiss" La Lalena, and a Busty Blonde haired elf girl with lilac eyes, Tuka Luna "Yang" Marceau,

Jaune sighed "It's too quiet" Jaune complained

"It's a good thing isn't it?" Weiss asked.

"No. We saw scouts earlier. It's not good that there hasn't been an attack yet" Jaune said suddenly yelling and screaming could be heard and they looked over and see the gate directly opposite of them were being attacked. "Crap, they are in trouble. Nora, Call Base, tell them we need back up" Jaune said.

"Yay! I'm in this one!" Nora grins. Ruby smiled her design didn't change all that much. Weiss grumbles that she looks like a nerd but sighs as she had no choice. Yang smiled that she was in it and she was happy with her looks

At the gate Bandits and Raiders storm through the gates, killing the villagers that had set up a blockade and any trained soldier. The Princess, Pyrrha, was watching this play out and didn't know what to do The Commander of the wall was killed, one of Pyrrha's friends. The enemy held the dead commander up high "The Enemy Commander is Dead! We will kill everyone here! This shall be our Hymn to Emloy, the god of war!" The Commander yelled dropping the Wall commander as the enemy started bashing against their shields, scaring the villagers. "Here we have found our war!" The Man yelled as Civilians rushed in to protect their home but were slaughtered

Pyrrha covered her mouth in shock. She was watching it all happen and not even bother fighting. She was disappointed in her other self for not going into the fight. 

Everyone but the obvious was demoralized by seeing the Commander behind held up as a trophy.

Back with Jaune and the group. Ruby was moaning.

Ruby blushes darkly and hides herself

"What's going on?" Jaune asked.

"The souls of the Soldiers dying on the battlefield are being sent to Emloy through her body, it affects her like an Aphrodisiac Might," Weiss said

"What do I mean by that?" Weiss asked

"Ruby is a Demi-God and Priestess of Emloy the God of War. It's her job to send souls to Emloy that have died in war" Zara explained

"This is bad," Nora said

"Is there anything you can do Weiss?" Jaune asked.

"The only thing we can do is let her fight," Weiss said and Jaune thinks then decided that they will help the East gate. Ruby gets up weakly before running full pelt towards the action. Jaune, Yatsu, and Nora get in the Jeep and drive off after her. Jaune radioed Command letting the Choppers know where to go as they Treversed the winding town.
