The silence in the office was suffocating for only two people in the Headmaster's office. To Emerald and Severus, it was a well placed exercise on how to control their laughter. The two Slytherins knew that Emerald had backed the two into a corner, and by the look in both of their eyes, they knew it as well. Emerald looked out the corner of her eye, and noticed that Severus had moved again, but this time was standing level with her. Emerald decided it was time to add fuel to the fire. Looking at the two men behind the desk, Emerald knew that she was going to enjoy every minute of this. "What I cannot, for the life of me, think why the two of you would be at Black Manor, and so late in the evening. So please, Gentlemen, enlighten me." Emerald made sure she sounded like she was reprimanding two children.
Albus and James was frozen at her words, both of the men having the same thought. 'How did she know that they were at Black Manor?'. Albus seeing the slight lost look in James' eyes, decided to take control and see if this situation was salvageable. "You see my dear, we wanted to speak to Sirius about how well he was coping after all these years." Albus tried to sound believable, but even to Albus' ears, he wasn't successful.
Emerald done the most un-lady like thing there possible was; she snorted. "Headmaster, we both know that is a lie. Now why don't you speed up the process, drop all the lies and skip ahead to the truth. Why were you on the edge of my Estate trying to gain access?" Emerald stated coldly, slowly losing her temper and even she was unsure of what the outcome would be.
Albus cursed Emerald out in his head, and realised his mistake. He should have kept a closer watch on the Potter's other child. As it stands, this one CHILD could unravel his entire plan that had been in motion since Tom Riddle had first entered Hogwarts. The more Albus thought about how this child could ruin him and his plans, the more pissed off he was getting. "You're right, I wanted to see if Sirius would like to join a small panel committee that would help bring the downfall of the Dark Lord when he rises again." Albus decided to go for a gamble, and hoped that he would also be able to judge Emerald on her answers.
Emerald didn't let her Pureblood mask crack, but internally was pissing herself laughing. The only thought in her head was 'this is going to be fun'. "Before we even begin to discuss me bringing this to my Uncle, please produce evidence that the Dark Lord Voldemort didn't die on that fateful night that I was abandoned by the Potters, and become a Black." Emerald had enough, this meeting was truly testing her nerves, and was going to enjoy destroying the two men in front of her.
Albus and James looked at each other, and didn't actually know how to proceed as Emerald was not following how they wanted this to meeting to go. "Well, there is the whispers that he was never truly dead, there are also whispers that he has been using this time to gather followers for when he does return." Albus was sure that with the right amount of sugared words and time, that he would be able to get Emerald and Sirius on his side.
Emerald really wanted to laugh out loud, but she couldn't if she wanted her plan to work. "Headmaster, whispers are just that, whispers. There are whispers that the Black family is descended from the Muggle Royal Family; doesn't make it true, trust me, I've looked." Emerald cooed like she was talking to child and in her mind, she was. "Now, unless you can provide me hardcore proof that the Dark Lord Voldemort isn't indeed dead, this conversation will go no further. Now if that is all Gentlemen?" Emerald asked while raising an eyebrow, and when neither men answered her, Emerald began walking towards the door. As she reached the door, she turned around to face the Potter Lord and the Headmaster once again. "For future references, neither of you are welcome interfering within the matters of House Black. Lord Potter was told at the Ministry Party that Uncle Sirius is Lord Black in only name, and everything else goes through me. Try to approach a member of the House of Black without my consent again, and you will be hearing from the Black Lawyers, and we all know how they fight." Without another word, Emerald walked out of the office with Severus following her.
