Blue's Travels (An AUL Fanfic)

Blue's First Lobby

I look through the App Store on my phone, trying to find a new game to play. The ones I already have are getting old and tiring, and I want to change it up a little. That's when I see one called Among Us. Hmmm...this looks interesting. I'll click to see what exactly it is.

Ahh, a murder mystery game that takes place in space.  You have to find out who the impostor is, do tasks, and if you're the impostor, kill people.  Sounds fun, I think I'll try it out.

I wait for the game to fully download, and then I click to see what this game's all about.

Well, it sticks true to its space theme, that's for sure.

Ok, Imma join a lobby.

This one seems interesting.  Not Orange is the name of the lobby, or maybe the person who owns it...I don't know.  I guess we'll have to wait and see...

I join, and there are a few others there in the lobby, including the guy called Not Orange.  Wait, why's his name Not Orange when his color is orange?  That's just confusing.  I guess I just don't get it yet.

"So this is Among Us, I guess," I say to myself, not expecting anyone to answer.

"Yep!" Not Orange exclaims.  "Since you're new around here, I'm gonna explain stuff to you and introduce you to everyone in the lobby.  I'm Not Orange, by the way.  Your name's...Player?  How interesting."

"What?  That's not-"

"Not to worry.  We normally go by our colors in these games.  If you're not satisfied with your current color, you can change it."

"Nah, I like Blue.  I'm gonna stick to it."

"Suit yourself.  Anyways, like I said, I'm Not Orange, and this is my mini crewmate."

"Oh, so you can have pets in game?"

"Yeah, but you have to pay for them, just like real pets."

The little one goes in for a hug, but Not Orange quickly sprays him so he stops.  I'm pretty sure I'm supposed to ignore that.

"Anyway, here's everyone else in the lobby.  First, there's Not Cyan, or just Cyan, my younger brother. He's a little like me but less chaotic."

I nod.

"Then there's Red. He's not a regular here, but he comes around here from time to time. He's...a little obnoxious, but that's because he has a fragile ego that he doesn't want harmed."

"Mhm."

"After him is White.  He...uhh...likes jazz.  He's also a pretty decent impostor...when he's not singing about it."

"Why-"

"Then there's Brown.  He's pretty chill, but he's also pretty accusatory, and most of the time his suspicions are wrong."

"Ok."

"Next, there's Purple.  She used to be close with Brown, but he kept accusing her, and that pissed her off, so they're not friends anymore."

"Alright."

"With that, we get to Pink. One of the only female crewmates in this lobby. Let's just hope that she isn't the impostor, because she's damn good at it."

"Yep."

"After her is Yellow. He asks a lot of questions about people, often wondering who they are. He continuously talks to the rest of the crew about the thoughts that keep him up at night."

"Ok."

"And finally, we have Green. He's a bit of a simp, but he's cool."

"Thanks for introducing me to everyone, Not Orange. I think I have more of an idea of what's going on here."
