{The Next Day}
Ricky woke up that morning to messages from, EJ, Ashlyn, Big Red, Kourtney, Carlos, and Seb.
[The Messages]
EJ: You should get her another ukulele! She hasn't had a new one in like 5 years.
Ashlyn: Omg! This is so fun! You should buy her some flowers and a teddy bear! All girls love those!
Big Red: Dude...I already told you. A microphone! That's all I got.
Kourtney: Ricky don't mess anything up this Christmas. But anyways, you should buy Neens some new clothes! She loves clothes! Or is that just me? Idk but...clothes are always a safe gift.
Carlos: You should buy her some notebooks and colorful pens...so she has more supplies to write songs with! Who knows...maybe Miss Jenn will let her write a song for our next musical!
Seb: Omg...you should totally bring her up to my family's farm for Christmas! She loves animals, doesn't she? We've got plenty! :D
Ricky was honestly disappointed in the responses they gave. None of them seemed...right. He wanted to make this Christmas special for her. It's their first Christmas since Nini's been back from YAC.
Now, there was only one person Ricky hadn't talked to yet. Gina. He knew that Nini and Gina weren't on the best terms right now, but he figured that she was his only option. Ricky kept it a secret from Nini, he didn't want her to find out what he was doing. He knew she would get mad.
{In Big Red's Basement}
"Okay dude...I've figured it out."
"Figured what out?" Big Red replies confused.
"Whose gonna help me figure out what to get Nini", Ricky says, "I'm going to see Gina..."
Big Red jumps up from his chair.
"GINA?! Dude...you've got to be kidding.", Big Red says with wide eyes, "Have you met your girlfriend...she is not really friends with erm...Gina. If she finds out she is gonna be livid man."
"See that's the thing. I'm not telling her...and there's no way she'll find out." Ricky assures.
"If you say so...but...don't mess anything up. You don't wanna break her heart...again." Big Red replies nervously.
"Dude...relax a little. I'm not going to mess anything up."
Ricky gets his stuff and leaves Big Reds house. As he's driving home, he calls up Gina.
"H-hello?" the girl says.
"Hey Gina! It's me Ricky."
"Oh, uh hi Ricky...why are you calling me? Shouldn't you be like...with your girlfriend or something?" Gina asks.
"Nini's busy right now. But hey, I was gonna ask you if you wanna meet up in the Salt Lake Park just down the street from East High tonight?"
"Oh...sure, I guess. I'll see you then..."
They hang up on the phone just as Ricky arrives home. He walks in, greets his dad, and tells him that he's meeting a friend at the park tonight.
{Later that night. 8:30pm}
Ricky is sitting on a bench waiting for Gina to come. After some time, he sees her car pull up and park. He watches as she gets out and walks towards him.
Gina greets Ricky, "Hi..."
"Hey...so I need your help."
