- kismet ( noun ) :
" destiny ; fate . "
Bridget Gray was seven when she was taken away from her mother.
She was the oldest of the three. Two years older than Michael and four years older than little Sallyanna. So she had the most memories. Of their mother, even of their father. Of their cousins and the time they spent together.
Bridget spent several years trying to get back. She only really gave up when she was twelve and found herself placed with a wealthy family in Cardiff. They cared for her. Gave her everything she could have ever wanted.
Eight years later, Bridget is found by her cousin, Thomas. He doesn't know what to expect, but he certainly didn't predict that she would want to involve herself in the family business.
It should be entirely obvious to Alfie Solomons that Bridget is off-limits. And maybe it is, because he really tries to avoid her.
But it's inevitable. Bridget Gray and Alfie Solomons are doomed to fall for each other, damn the consequences.
