Namjoon walked towards a table in the bunker and carefully laid out the small piece of paper he'd been keeping safe all this time. Hoseok joined him to study the code. "It looks quite simple, but this is a clever cipher that's been applied to this code," Namjoon started. "Can you decipher it?" asked Hoseok.

"I can certainly try. All my years as a cryptanalyst would be a complete waste if I couldn't. I wonder what information is locked in this cipher. It's obviously not the Caesar shift, nobody, except maybe kids, uses such a simple code these days. And anyway there aren't any letters, just symbols. Hmmm, it might be a Vigenère square. Thank goodness it's not a hieroglyph, we could be here for months. There's definitely hints of binary in them...."

Hoseok listened patiently as Namjoon essentially spoke to himself, lost in his own world. He didn't think he would be much help having no knowledge with ciphers, but he did enjoy a good puzzle, so maybe he could still just hover around Namjoon as he worked. Hoseok found a piece of scrap paper and pencil while Namjoon frantically jotted things on his phone. He was concentrating very hard on the task at hand, muttering to himself, and berating himself whenever he made a rookie mistake (according to him). Hoseok peered over his shoulder and said, "oooh that looks like it needs an Alberti Cipher Disk."

Namjoon suddenly stopped and turned to Hoseok, completely dumbfounded. He looked back at the coded paper and looked at Hoseok again. Hoseok wasn't entirely sure what to make of this reaction and stayed mute. Namjoon suddenly laughed and patted Hoseok on the back as a dog owner would to his pet. "Yes! Well done! Can't believe I missed it. Alberti disk, yes, that mights do it." He started to search for something to write on when Hoseok handed him the paper and pencil. "Perfect!" acknowledged Namjoon.

"Come on, Hoseok, you can help me figure it out," he said good-natured let, clearly appreciative of Hoseok's help

They spent the next 45 minutes working through the code. It contained a mix of binary and symbols and needed to be correctly aligned with the correct combinations so that it could made sense.

Finally, when they were done, this is what it read:223x, 450y, 200g, x1, simm, 22, 24

"Erm, yeah, so......that all makes perfect sense!" said Hoseok, scratching his head, puzzled.
