Context: Alexis has just discovered her superpowers. (They are similar to Wanda Maximoff's) Cheng, a character you will meet basically has the same powers!!
Please leave any suggestions or feel free to correct me if there are any mistakes. This is my first story so apologies if it's not the greatest!
"Hey, glad your meeting me here, I know it all sounds crazy but once you see it you'll believe me one hundred percent" Alexis walks over to Steve and sets her backpack down resting against the hallway lined with lockers.
"Yeah, yeah, whatever, you can just pretend like you didn't send me a text last night that told me my best friend had magical powers." They both rest their backs on the wall patiently waiting for something out of this world to happen.
"Okay I have to focus" Suddenly the backpack is being raised up as Alexis stares intensely at it.
"I always knew you were a witch. But how, this doesn't make any sense?" The bag suddenly falls as Alexis unfocuses herself.
"Shhh you cannot tell anyone, pinky promise?" Alexis sticks out her pinky waiting for the wrap around squeeze as Steve stares confused at what all he just saw. "Steve, hurry up and promise, passing periods almost up."
"Okay, but you have to explain right now." Steve reaches forward and does the signature promise.
"It would make me late, I can't get another tardy either." Alexis reaches down and picks up her backpack.
"Oh come on Mrs. Smith won't give you another one how come you didn't do it on FaceTime last night then."
"I don't know why, it was like I couldn't but I did it before I texted you with a pencil." They both head down the hallway.
"I need time to process all of this." The low monotone bell sounds behind them leaving them to be the only two in the hallway.
"I'll meet you at your truck after school and no telling anyone okay." Alexis turns and faces Steve before heading into a classroom.
"Copy that"
Later on-after school:
"Brrr dude hurry up and unlock it I'm freezing out here." Alexis is shivering in her puffy winter coat as Steve is untangling his keys from his disorganised backpack.
"I'm trying." Once he unlocks the truck they both jump in, he turns the truck on as Alexis is trying to get the radio going.
"Six months could not come any faster." Alexis says as she finally plugs her phone in putting on one of her favorite songs.
"Yeah it does suck to be you doesn't it, anyways I have to be quick to get you home" Steve puts the truck in drive and turns the heat up.
"Why, I thought your basketball practice was cancelled?"
"It is but my dad texted me earlier and now I have to go take care of the cows in the freezing ass cold."
"Oh, well you should consider yourself lucky, I wish my parents would let me get cows. Speaking of my parents I should probably tell them about the whole lifting things up with my mind thing. I just wish I could figure out why it only works at certain times."
"Maybe it's like those movies where you have to think of something that angers you."
"Trust me I've already thought of that and I even tried it with this hair tie" As she unfolds her coat showing her black tie that is cutting off her circulation to her wrist. "I think it might be a one per day thing, that's one of the best hypothesis I have at the moment"
Steve pulls into Alexis' driveway "I hope you figure it out while I'm putting hay bales out for my hamburgers to eat."
"Well don't have to much fun without me. I'll see you tomorrow and remember your pinky promise." Alexis hops out the truck and runs towards the small double wide trailer as Steve stays and watches just to make sure she gets inside.
