The Last Scarlet (Short Jerza Fanfic)

~*Erza's POV*~

It was midnight, seeing the moonlight glistening from the above I started sneaking out trying to get away from this place. I loved mother so much yet being in prison and limiting my chance to go above the surface is something I wanted to see, I am taking my chances and break these rules to satisfy my curiosity for years. I looked through the hallways where guards linger to the pillars checking some intruders , sneaking to the darkness and swam as slowly as possible to decreased the noise of my tail flapping. I got outside by the balcony seeing the great view of the kingdom, it was beautiful to see the crystal blink like light when the moon reflects it's light to the city. I look at my knitted bag where I hold a crystal necklace with me, they said the power of crystal can change your physical body and only the royal blood can possess this crystal or you are bless from the Queen's elite guards.

I began to swim fast away from the castle as I finally get over to the walls of my kingdom ready to fins a spot I would be hiding my stuffs near the surface which I would have know some ideas on the living from the Land Of The Above. I could see the moon fading and sun is rising soon so I hurry swimming near up to the surface to look up, I peek my head up seeing the sunrise so bright that I squint my eyes seeing the reddish color like my hair. I was confident to surface up more of my half body where I feel the air so smooth and cold and my greenish scales start to change, I looked at the crystal which is blinking from it's light white to red seeing some weird whitish body I have so I go back down changing back to normal.

" So this is the change that rumors tell so.. " I murmured to myself as I looked to my surroundings that I am far away from my kingdom and only corals and reefs from the seabed below, luckily I found a small cave for a hideout.

" That's a good place to hide my stuff.. " I smiled as I swim down going to the cave seeing small fishes going away and putting my knitted bag hidden to the rock formation inside the cave, " Now it is time to explore.. "

I go back to the surface as I changed looking for a an island to check which from just few meters away seeing a hug building looking like some castle or kingdom from the island, so I started to swim there near the shore. I reached out to the land which is some sand climbing to the rock which seeing the change of my scales into soft pale body and my tail turning into.. two tails (legs)? I waddle it seeing some small little fins (toes) wiggle that made me giggle then looking through the sunrise. I have never seen this change in me life as I look from behind where a wild new life in the horizon.

" Woah.. Seeing this in personal rather from the book is beautiful.. " I mumbled as I heard someone talking so I quickly hid in the rock.

I heard footsteps where it seems they are laughing, I peek to the side slowly seeing a group of humans coming this way wearing some kind of thick clothing around their body which I saw a glow to my necklace which my body is covered with clothing, I've seen this in my research from the kingdom that humans wear these stuff called dresses. I moved away hearing and looking at them talking.

" Seriously Levy, if you are going to the ball pick some better dress for next week.. " The blonde looking woman said as she was accompanied by a short blue haired girl.

" Lu-chan, I never even want to go to this ridiculous ball from the Fernandez's Kingdom.. I am only forced to come here to get the prince's attraction to me.. " That Levy woman replied as she sat on the sand watching from the horizon.

" I know.. All of the princess are expected to be there for the Prince's ball next week and- " Then all of the sudden I feel this itchy in my nose making me sneeze softly like a kitten.

The girls stopped talking while I cover my mouth hoping that they didn't notice or come to my hiding spot but I was too late. Both of them gasp as I started to look at the shore but shaking my head and began to crawl from the sand trying to get out of their sight. 

" W-Wait! We won't hurt you.. " The Lu blonde shouted but I kept crawling and panting heavily.

" Please wait! " they started to walk fast coming to my direction grabbing my arm which in my instincts I summon a weapon holding dagger pointing at them.

" W-Woah! We won't harm you.. " The short Levy raises her hand as she looked at me terrified, " You seem not here from the kingdom.. I am Levy Mcgarden from the Western side of Fiore! "

I looked at her and the other girl smiling at me, seems that they aren't engaging any combat or harm against me so my weapon began to disappear as I tried to use this two fins (legs) to go up but I kept falling. The girls started to help me wrapping my arms around their shoulders to go up.

" Use your legs.. are you paralyzed? or did you sprained your feet? " The Lu blonde girl asked as I never understand the words they are using.

" W-Whats a legs..? " I asked as they both giggled and laughed.

" You are one funny girl! I am Lucy Heartifilia from the Eastern side of Fiore. " She said as she hold one of the fin, " What I am touching is a leg, you have two so it is called legs.. " 

" I-I see.. " I murmured as they put me to the rock making me seat.

" Did you not study..? " Levy asked as I widen my eyes.

" I-I studied!!! " I blurted and looked down whispering softly, " Not about this.. legs you called.. " 

" Huh.. Maybe you just hit your head.. " Levy said as she looked at me, " So, Can you tell us what your name? "

Note:

Erza has small knowledge about humans even from the transformation she had to her physical body, but she did had some understanding about culture and ways about human lived through the Land of the Above or Fiore.
