10: Well that happened

You pull away from the kiss. Holy shit....that just happened. Honestly, it was the best feeling ever. You didn't know how to describe it, but it was definitely what you needed.

You expected Karl to look at you funny in some way, but he was just smiling at you. "Let's go home buttercup."

You nodded and you both started heading towards the factory, but before you can make it there you hear a voice. "KAAARRRLLLLL" It sounded like just some annoying child, but you turn to find Donna and Angie. "YOURE LAAAATE"

Heisenberg just sighed "Just go guys, we aren't coming."

"But, Miranda-" Donna said before she was cut off

"Go, we're aren't gonna be there. Thistle doesn't feel well so I'm taking him home."

"But you-"

"Nope, not going." He turned and kept walking, he urged you to walk with him.

"You have to go Karl, it's important."

"Oh yeah, it's gonna be very important when she revives that dumb child and leaves us for dead. I want no part of it, and like I said, Thistle doesn't feel well."

Donna looked down at Angie "Let's go, they're not coming." They both then left to go back to the castle.

You and Karl were still going back to the factory. "Don't you think you were a little rough on them? Donna was only doing what she was told."

"Nope, and I'm not sorry for it. It's dumb how I'm the only 'sibling' who sees that Miranda is a horrible person. Everyone of them is a fucking dumbass, how could they worship such a person? She doesn't care anyway, so why should we huh?" You could tell his temper was rising. Whenever he got mad, little bits of metal that were around him started to float.

"You know...I'm still considered a sibling too.." you said quietly to yourself.

"I- I didn't mean you though. You're different."

"But how am I different? From what I've seen everyone has been so nice to me and an ass to you whenever you're an ass back. The only difference is that they like Miranda and I don't, so how am I all that different?"

Karl was quiet. He looked like he was thinking about what to say next, but you stopped him before he could.

"Never mind. I don't wanna talk about it." You started walking faster than him.

He tried to catch up "Wait, you know I never meant it like that."

"Look, I really just don't wanna talk about it right now." A small bubble starts to form around you, but you just kept on walking.

Once you both got to the factory you quickly run to find your stuffed dog. You held onto it and watched Heisenberg go back to doing his work so you could be left alone. You felt awful though. Maybe you were to harsh on him, maybe you overreacted?

You sat there and started getting a weird feeling in your chest. You coughed a little bit but kinda just shrugged it off, but the feeling was kinda alarming.

You stand up and go to try and find Karl, he probably knows what's going on.

Once you find him he smiled more than you've probably ever seen him smile "Buttercup you have to know I'm very sorry."

You kinda dismissed what he said "Karl, I don't think I can breathe."
