Miraculous Venom

Patterns and Directions

Adrien was sitting in his room, boredly tapping at his window, there wasn't much to do, or see, but sometimes it was nice to just zone out while you had your forehead pressed against a nice cool pane of glass.

"Adrieeeen, what are you doing? You have a room full of awesome stuff to play around with, and you choose to stare out a window? What are you, nuts? Nuts belong in snacks, like Cashue Brie" Plagg took a moment to sigh dreamily at the thought, but snapped out of it to complete his point "Not in the brain of boys"

Plagg stuffed a small block of cheese into his mouth.

"Oh, come on Plagg, don't be like that" Adrien chastised calmly "there's lots of nice things you can see when you just take the time to look out the window. Like, clouds, or birds or..." His eyes tried finding another nice thing to look at for an example, though they landed on the less than happy sight of what looked like a couple fighting, and maybe breaking up.

Adrien began to avert his eyes, out of politeness and respect of others personal lives, but just as he did he caught the quick flash of something or rather between the couple.

Upon a second glance it appeared they were stuck together with some goop between their bodies.

Adrien looked toward where he thought he saw the goop come from, only to catch a glimpse of what could only be described as some kind of goo beast, though that's all he could really catch before it jumped out of his sight.

"Plagg! Did you see that!" Adrien asked, alarmed.

"Huh? See what?" Plagg was clearly not paying attention, and only chewed the remaining crumbs of cheese currently in his mouth.

"I think someone's been akumatized again!" seriously reported Adrien.

"Aw, again? It hasn't even been an hour" Complained the Kwami.

"Plagg, CLAWS OUT!"

Adrien's form changed from his regular civilian self into the one and only Chat Noir.

Without a second thought, he opened and jumped out of the window.

After much hopping around from rooftop to rooftop trying to find that beast, Chat Noir actually found Ladybug, and the two ended up running side by side.

"Well, hello, m'lady" he greeted. "Funny seeing you here again"

"Hey there, Kitty"

"So I guess you saw that monster too, huh?" He asked

"Actually I haven't" Ladybug jumped to another building, changing the duo's direction "but I have definitely seen it's work, looks like it can bind any objects to each other, living or not, we probably shouldn't be too close to each other for this mission, at least not when we encounter it"

"Aww, but I so do love being near you" Chat Noir groaned in mock sadness "And I know we could fight better if the two of us were together" he joked flirtaciously.

"Hush up, Chat, we got a job to do" Ladybug rolled her eyes.

Chat Noir laughed, it was worth a shot.

"So you have seen what it looked like?" Ladybug questioned, changing the subject slightly.

"Oh yeah, it looked-"

THUNK

Before the team landed a huge humanoid creature

"Llllike that" Chat Noir pointed at the beast in question with an awkward not-quite-smile.

The creature stood at maybe 9ft tall, it had a sorta gray off white color, with massive black eyes. It's body had several parts in which it bubbled out, like, well, bubbles. In one large claw hand, it held a rubber band slingshot that looked like it was bought from an extremely goth toy-store. Despite all of it's unique characteristics though, the only thing the Team could think of looking at this monstrosity was: Venom.

"Venom? What are you doing? I thought you said you wanted to be a good guy?" Ladybug cried out in confusion.

"I am not Venom, I am fusion! And I demand your miraculous" The villain exclaimed.

Ladybug took on an even more serious look than the one she had already "I'm sorry, but we can't do that"

"Then so be it" Using the slingshot Venom sent a couple of goo blobs their way, probably to stick them to the ground, but both Chat Noir and Ladybug moved before they got the chance.

"Chances are the Akuma is in that slingshot he has" Ladybug reported "It's probably also the miraculous, so you better save that Cataclysm"

"Got it" Chat Noir nodded firmly.

He pole vaulted forward, in order to try and get the jump on Fusion, but Fusion ran off before he made it.

Both ladybug and Chat Noir chased the being through the rooftops, that is until he hopped down to the city's floor, to which the duo also followed.

On the drop down, Fusion ended up terrifying a mail man, causing him to fall over in fear. The beast picked his up and... absorbed him into into his body.

Fusion gave a dark chuckle "You're in for it now, Ladybug! We will have your Miraculous!"

"Don't count on it" Chat Noir quipped, he went to make an attack, only to be caught in an onslaught of envelopes, he staggered back in pure surprise "what the-"

"Chat Noir!" Ladybug quickly turned her Yoyo into a shield and ran in front of the superhero, protecting him from the paper assault.

"Haha!" Fusion laughed, he seemed to push the mailman from his body causing the envelopes to science fire, before jumping away "I'll see you two soon"

Ladybug growled and helped Chat Noir up, she also helped helped the Mailman up, and got him indoors where it would be safer. Then the two were off again.

They encountered Fusion two more times, where he practically did the same thing.

He absorbed a bus driver and threw buses at the duo. 

He also later absorbed a librarian out on her break, at that point he shot books at them. They didn't actually see him absorb the librarian, but they did see him unabsorb from her.

But the point is a pattern was becoming apparent

Eddie had numbed over the time on his own, he'd soaked in his own self hate for long enough, he sat up, still holding the shoebox, he didn't really want to let it go. He ended up walking into his home's living room and turning on the TV, he needed something to take his mind off things.

"Don't be bemused, it's just the news, I'm Nadia Chamack, here with the latest"

Eddie never liked the News very much, he often found it to be boring, but, what could he say, this channel managed to make it work and make it seem pretty interesting. A lot of people actually liked the News around here.

"After today's earlier Akumatization Incident, with villain Skater Hater, it seems we're not quite out of the woods yet,"

Wait what?

"There is now a new beast terrorizing Paris today, a villain calling themself by the name of 'Fusion' having a shocking resemblance to newest self-proclaimed hero 'Venom' who was seen helping local Ladybug and Chat Noir defeat the previously mentioned Skater Hater"

WHAT?!

The Camera cut away from the reporter and to what looked like a helicopter cam recording from above. It was following what looked like a huge muscular slime monster, jumping from building to building, and though the color and some of the body parts seemed off, but there was no doubt this was Venom.

Eddie stared at the screen in shock. What had happened?

"This Villain, or Fusion, as he calls himself, has kept a steady path in the eastward, only deviating occasionally due to Ladybug and Chat Noir forcing him to change direction, or to 'glue' civilians together objects and occasionally other civilians."

The Camera stayed on Venom, who was lunging to grab onto a flagpole to propel himself forward. He swung past a mural and- wait, Eddie knew that mural! He passed it everyday on his way back from school! Wait- Did this mean-

Venom was getting close to his target and if Eddie was right on this then Venom would be...
