Once i walked throughout the night,

my mind was dim, I saw no light.

the sharp wind froze my sorrowful face,

no thoughts inside my motionless gaze.

the day's I'd lie in bed and think,

of how it could feel to never sink.

and when I hit the bottom floor,

all of a sudden I saw a door.

 light shimmered around and beneath,

and all of a sudden I felt a wreath.

a crown was gently placed on my head,

the pain in my skin was finally shed.

I rose like an angel, like birds in the sky.

my pain stayed below me, as I waved it good bye.

I woke with a start on a green park bench,

and I stood with ease as my fists unclenched.

I ran to my house, smiling within,

happiness tracing my every limb.
