I wish I was a bird
Free to roam around
But even if I was
You're nowhere to be found

I wish I was the sun
Majestic and so bright
But even if I was
Need you to bring me light

I wish I was that tree
Lift branches to the sky
But even if I was
You're free to pass right by

I wish I was an ocean
The endless depth within
But even if I was
You've nowhere to begin

I wish there was a way
To have you here with me
Away from all my worries
To let my heart be free

I wish for all of this
But even if
It wouldn't bring you back
