Chapter 14• 'Reunions'

Third Person POV: (Professor L'Haire's Lecture Theatre)

The inside of The Sorbonne was huge. There were large, glass windows covering almost every wall and the ceilings were very high. Alya and Marinette studied the building the whole way to their first lecture.

"It looks so much nicer from the inside.." Marinette mentioned.

"Yeah, the natural lighting is so much better than that ugly fluorescent lighting back at the high school. It felt like we were in a hospital." Alya replied, trying to spot the lecture hall.

"I think this next door is Professor L'Haire's class." She said, pointing up to the door number.

The girls opened the tall wooden door and peeked inside. The lecture hall was huge and there was a beautiful, golden dome that sat above the room. More windows surrounded the circular layout.

"Welcome in! My name is Professor L'Haire, and as you may already know, I will be teaching your Creative Writing course this year." The professor announced, gesturing for Marinette and Alya to come in.

The girls shook their professor's hand and found some seats towards the top of the lecture hall. The room was pretty empty so the girls figured that not everyone was here yet.

Marinette glanced around the room and thought she had noticed someone that looked familiar.

"Alya..." She whispered. "Is that Kagami.. ?"

Alya slightly turned her head, trying not to make it obvious that she was looking.

"Girl, I think it is.." She replied, leaning closer to Marinette.

"Wow! She looks great.. I haven't talked to her in awhile, should we call her over?" Marinette asked, sounding unsure with herself.

Without an answer, Alya turned around and yell- whispered to Kagami.

"Pssst! Kagami! Up Here!" Alya blurted, gesturing for her to come over.

Kagami turned around and spotted the girls waving to her from across the room. Her eyes widened with surprise and she got up to greet the girls.

She walked up the stairs and opened her arms to them.

"Marinette! Alya! How are you girls?" She asked, embracing them both in a hug.

"We've been pretty good.. I haven't heard from you much Kagami.. everything alright on your end?" Marinette questioned, letting go.

Kagami showed her a fake smile and let out a high sigh.

"Yeah! I've been okay.. I finally moved out of my mom's place and now I'm in a nice apartment not too far from the college." She replied. "Also, I'm sorry for not reaching out more. I've just been... busy."

Marinette shot her a warm smile and reached for her hand.

"It's all good Kagami. We attend the same college now, and we have creative writing together. We'll have more than enough time to catch up!" Marinette assured her.

Kagami showed the girls a smile and embraced them with one last hug.

More students started the fill the lecture hall which meant that the course was about to start.

"I'll catch up with you guys after school or something! It would be nice to see everyone again." Kagami mentioned, making her way back to her seat.

"Forsure! Meet up with us in the parking lot, that's most likely where the rest of the group will be!" Marinette followed.

Third Person POV: (Professor Vanquez's Lecture Hall)

Adrien and Felix found their seats and took their laptops out. Their first course for this year was Economics.

A few minutes have passed and more students started to fill the lecture hall. Out of the corner of Adrien's eye, he had noticed a tall, blue haired guy walk in behind a group of other students. He took a double take to make sure he wasn't seeing things.

"Are you fucking serious..." he mumbled under his breath.

Felix turned to look at his cousin. he had noticed a change in his mood.

"What?" He mumbled back, looking out around the room.

"This guy that I have some minor problems with is in our first lecture.." Adrien explained, following Luka with his eyes.

Felix looked over and noticed the blue haired guy that Adrien was staring at.

"That guy? The blue haired freak?" He followed, leaning back into his seat.

"Yeah.. that one." Adrien replied.

"What happened between you guys?

Adrien let out a low breath and slouched back.

"He's Mari's ex... THE ex.." Adrien started. "I'm pretty sure he's still in love with her too."

Felix scoffed and rested his hands behind his neck.

"You have problems with him because he dated your girl?" He asked, thinking that was the only reason.

"No, of course not. The group and I took a trip to Hawaii last summer and he popped up after something pretty serious happened to Mari."

Felix glanced over at Luka again, still listening to Adrien's story.

"Long story short, we ended up fighting on the beach at like 3 in the morning, and I might've given him a black eye.." He finished.

Felix turned his attention back to Adrien and looked at him with an impressed expression.

"I didn't think that you were the type to get into fights.." Felix taunted.

Adrien scoffed and stopped staring down Luka. He didn't have the energy to get mad about the incident all over again.

"The fight isn't even the main reason.. I wasn't officially with Mari in Hawaii but he wouldn't stop flirting with her. The guy is obsessed and it irritated the fuck out of me.." Adrien explained, twirling his pen in circles with his fingers.

Felix looked at his cousin with a surprised expression. Adrien has changed a lot since the last time they had seen each other. This Adrien was someone that Felix could actually stand.

"Class is about to start, I'll explain the rest of the story later.." Adrien mumbled, turning his focus to the professor.
