Leanna and Darla went downstairs and went out the door to go to school. "I hope to make new friends this year" said Leanna, "Me too" said Darla. Leanna and Darla arrived at school, they walked in and went to their lockers. "My first period is Mr. Oakwin, You?" Said Leanna, "Me too!" Said Darla. "Alright let's get to class before we get a tardy" said Darla. "Yea wouldn't want to get a tardy on the first day of 8th grade" said Leanna.
Leanna and Darla enter the class, Mr. Oakwin greets them. "Hello and welcome to the first of school I hope all of you are excited for this year it is going to be a great and fun year" said Mr.Oakwin. Leanna and Darla say hi and look around the classroom, and who do they see... Amanda in their first period. They both look at each other and say "OMG" Darla says", This is the time I use to get away from my sister not to be closer to her" Darla rolls her eyes. Everyone is in the classroom and Mr. Oakwin starts of saying this "I'm Mr, Oakwin nice to meet all of you" today we will get to know each other and share some things about each other".
A lot of people are not at school today. But that is ok we will be fine with knowing the people who are here and when the other show up they will get their chance to share about themselves" said Mr. Oakwin. Me. Oakwin calls roll and comes across Leanna's name and says it four times. Leanna... Leanna, says Darla, What! Said Leanna. Mr. Oakwin is calling your name for roll. Oh! Here! Says Leanna. Great! Please answer the first time I call your name. Said Mr. Oakwin , Yes of course, I'm sorry said Leanna. They all meet each other. The first period ends, they walk out the classroom and Leanna and Darla go to their lockers to get their belongings for next period."
