❑ In Nezuko's Room ❒
It was late at night and Tanjiro was sitting on Nezuko's bed as he played out what happened about a few days ago, "And then they punched him and Shinbou and Misturi had to hold him back!" Nezuko looked up at him from his lap entranced as she listened to the story about the person who piqued his interest.
Tanjiro had moved his hands rapidly as he told her what [Name] has been doing for the past few days and also caught her up on his progress. She nodded and made happy muffles here and there to show her brother that she listened to him tell her everything that she missed out on.
He slowly stopped his words as he put one hand on Nezuko's head - who was nervously looking up at him - he sighed as he looked down at the ground. Nezuko sat up as she nudged his lap with her hand looking at him with worried eyes. "Mmph?" she tilted her head. Tanjiro finally looked at his sister with a conflicted face as he nibbled the bottom of his lip.
"Nezuko, is it a good kind of love whenever you want someone all for yourself? I mean I don't feel that kind of love! But I feel something similar. It feels .. weird."
Tanjiro immediately waved his hand as he apologized for his previous question to his sister. "I'm sorry! I don't know why I said that!" Nezuko held her brother's waving hand as he abruptly stopped his rambling and looked at his sister, "Nezuko..?" She lifted a hand to his cheek as she smiled under her muzzle, "Hmm." Tanjiro slowly smiled as he nodded at her.
She retracted her hands back as she tilted her head, she silently asked who he felt this way towards considering she knew him well enough to know that someone may have caught his interest, "Mhp?" His cheeks were lightly dusted with red as he scratched his cheek and smiled nervously, "Well, I'm not so sure if I'm in love with them or just have a strong admiration for them just yet."
He chuckled and looked back at the ground as if he saw something captivating on the ground, "They make me feel so...amazing. My heart always skips a beat whenever they look in my direction. They are so amazingly strong whenever they are in a battle! It's so amazing watching them move during training!" He smiled more widely as he looked up and held his hands together.
Nezuko smiled softly as she listened to her brother rant about his secret lover, "[Name] is so beautiful to look at whenever their face is in the sun, the way their eyes shine in the light-" Tanjiro quickly covered his mouth as he blushed madly and screamed silently into his hands. Nezuko felt her heart swell as [Name]'s name was revealed to who her brother was swooning over.
"Why do you love them? They must be amazing for you to love them, big brother! I mean they are very kind. "
She had her nails tugged into her clothes as her eyes looked toward her brother. "Nezuko? Are you alright?" He took her hands and he held them close together - which stopped her from digging into her clothes which have now little tears in them - he lifted her head as he worriedly looked at his little sister.
She looked at him and slowly melted in his comforting touch, she made herself smile as she nodded to her brother, reassuring him that she was fine. "That's good. Also! Nezuko, what do you think of [Name] and the rest of the Hashiras?" He smiled wide as he held her hands gently.
"[Name] kills demons, they wouldn't like me, it just wouldn't make sense. They would rather be with a human. So if Tanjiro has a chance."
She shook her head from side to side, "Mmmmm!" Tanjiro moped as he then regained himself and let go of her hands. "Well, I'm sure someone will eventually catch your eye!" He said while he grinned widely. He then got up and hugged his sister, "Thank you for listening to me rant, Nezuko. Well, I have to go to bed now, I have to be sure to see [Name] off in the morning." he stood straight up as he smiled gently and went to the door - sliding it open and closed it softly as he left - leaving Nezuko as silent as a mouse.
"He seems to Admire and like them.. but what If he's only just thinking he does? Convincing himself that he likes them. [Name] is amazingly sweet."
She slowly got up as she went to her door and slid it open slowly. She then poked her head to see if anyone was roaming the halls of the butterfly estate. She gently placed her foot into the empty hall as she fully stood outside of the room that she was cooped up in. She admired the way that the moonlight leaked in through the windows.
"Was it always like this outside my room?"
She smiled and walked down the hallways, passing her sleeping brother and friend's room, and also passing sleeping little girls and Aoi's rooms. She exited the butterfly estate as she walked over to the Moon estate but not without taking in the beautiful glow of the moon shining down onto her pale skin and her shining eyes.
She then continued to her original quest as she walked to the Moon estate (your estate) and stepped inside an open door as she took the dark halls of the estate. "Dark.." she thought. She continued walking as she went door to door to slide them open to only see nothing of what she was searching for.
She sighed as she walked more and more then finally reached the last door she hadn't checked yet. She slid the door open to reveal a peaceful sleeping [Name] in their bed. She walked slowly to them as she kneeled down and gently caressed their hair from their face - just how she is when Tanjiro does something similar to her when he's praising her - she smiled softly as she took in how beautiful they looked in her eyes.
"I know you may not be able to like me and that's fine. But. I hope something changes your mind about being friends with a demon."
She sighed lowly as [Name] then started to shift in their sleep. "oh no." She quickly ran into the dark corner of their room as they got up and rubbed their tired eyes. They adjusted their eyes to the dark room and yawn. "Hm..?" They looked around as they squinted their eyes to adjust to the dark room. They then shrugged and lay back down to cover themselves back up, going back to sleep peacefully without noticing the watching eyes of Nezuko.
"I have to change your mind about being friends with anyone other than humans."
