TW//SWEARING.

Reader's POV:

Techno was the first to pull away from the hug and wiped any stray tears.

"So how are you guys here? Because last I checked you three were dead." Techno asked.

I turned to Phil for an explanation because I'm still not too sure how we got to the overworld.

"I'm honestly not too sure, heck even the authors don't know."

"What?" Tommy asked.

"Don't worry about it. Anyways I found a book, we followed the book and now we are here."

"Uuhh, okay..." Techno said with a blank and slightly confused face.

He turned to me for hopefully a better explanation. I just shrugged.

-.-.-.-

Tubbo and I were now walking to Snowchester.

"So how is Michael and Ranboo?" I asked.

"They're doing good." Tubbo said.

"That's good, that's good." I said nodding

Soon I could see Snowchester in the distance. It had become bigger over the years.

"Is it weird that I'm a little nervous, I mean they haven't seen me in years and it was tense enough with Techno, I mean he was kinda angry to see me." I said

"Well you did die, and showed up out of nowhere but it's Techno so it's no surprise that he may have been a little testy about the sichuation, but I'm sure Ranboo won't act that way."

"How do you know that for sure?"

"Well... he might have blamed himself for your death when he found out you went to the Nether to get stuff for his Christmas present."

"What!? But it wasn't, the only ones to blame would be Dream, and well me."

"That's what we kept telling him, but even now he may act nonchalant about it but it's still obvious that he still feels guilty."

"That's horrible."

There was an awkward silence for a little bit but then Tubbo broke it,

"So why didn't you just cut the lead?" He asked,

"Sorry what?" I asked back,

"When Techno told us what happened, he said that you pulled out your knife and then cut his hand to let go so you would drop, so why didn't you just cut the lead instead?"

"W-when I was hanging over the edge it started to crack, and with Dream's weight I wouldn't be able to reach and cut the lead, and the core strength I would've needed to do that was basically non existent thanks to the side injury I sustained earlier in the fight. And even if I did have the strength to lift my leg enough to cut the lead, I would've also have been pulling on Techno, and that would have increased the chances of pulling him off the ledge into the lava with me, and that is not a chance I would be willing to take." After I said I looked off. I subconsciously placed my hand on my side even though there was no pain.

"I'm sorry, I didn't realize." He said, looking slightly down,

"It's okay..."

A silence fell upon us this time it went unbroken for a while.

-.-.-.-

Soon we came to the door of one of the buildings. Tubbo opened the door and walked in, I followed. There was the faint smell of smoke. Tubbo could also smell it, he sighed.

"I was gone for an hour." He mumbled.

I raised an eyebrow as we walked deeper into the house. We soon came to the living room. I stayed out of the room at first.

"Hey Tubbo." Ranboo said. He sounded a little nervous.

"Uh, care to explain why it smells like smoke?" Tubbo asked.

"N-No reason." Ranboo said.

"Mhm. Right."

It was quiet for a moment.

"So what's in the kitchen?"

"N-Nothing."

"Right. So I will go into the kitchen and nothing will be out of the ordinary?"

"Yep."

I heard footsteps. Then a loud sigh.

"I was gone for an hour Ranboo."

I heard a nervous chuckle from Ranboo.

"I'm not letting you cook again."

"Yeah that's understandable." Ranboo said.

There was silence for a moment before I saw tubbo walk over to me. He gestured for me to follow him, I did. As we walked through the hallway I saw tons of pictures with Tubbo and Ranboo with who looked to be Michael. It's sad and cute to see how much he has grown.

Soon we were back in the living room. Ranboo was reading a book. I cleared my throat to get his attention. It worked and he looked up. He froze dumbfounded by the very sight of me. I don't blame him.

"Hey Ranboo, long time no see." I said nervously.

He just sat there, shocked.

"H-how!?"

"I'm not too sure if I'm being honest." I said.

He got up from where he was sitting and dropped the book onto the couch and slowly walked towards me.

"Is it really you?" He asked.

I nod.

He comes up and hugs me. I hugged back, holding back tears.

"You're really here." He said.

"In the ghostly flesh."

"I'm so sorry." when he said that I slightly pulled out of the hug and looked up at him,

"No no no, it wasn't your fault you have nothing to be sorry about."

"But-"

"No, Ranboo. It wasn't your fault it was that green bastard's." I said.

I hugged him again this time a little tighter.

"I missed you." he whispered,

"I missed you too."
