"Oh look Harry, this one is to die for." Victoria lifts the hanger for my display. A simple white dress that is too short for a housewarming party. It honestly looks just like the one she has in her closet still with the price tag.
Women and their clothes.
Victoria thought it would be a good idea to go shopping and be seen together. Of course, management thought it was a perfect idea but I think she just wants to spend my money knowing I wouldn't make her pay for things.
"It's nice," I say through a fake smile, she smiles back and I know she can feel how fake I'm starting to be towards her. I believe a lot of my feelings have changed after meeting Magnolia, I know how messed up the sound is but it's not like I can break this engagement for a little crush.
That's all it is, a small stupid crush that I need to get over. And I decided to do whatever I needed to do in order to let go of it. So I decided to never speak to Magnolia or her sister again.
Problem solved.
That's why it's been a couple of weeks since the park incident and I have been radio silent. Well to be fair she doesn't know I have her number on my phone after harassing Niall for it. I felt weird at the fact I had butterflies while typing in the numbers. I even had a text ready to be sent but thought it would be too weird to have me out of all people contact her.
So I'm just gonna pretend she doesn't exist.
"Say it as you mean it," Victoria rolls her eyes before hanging the clothing item back on the rack. "Jeez, Harry it's like you're not even here most of the time. You're either in your head or you don't care." She states as she walks towards me, she's right I have been acting differently and it's not fair to her.
"Sorry babe," I reach to grab both of her hands so she can look at me. "You're right, why don't we go and get something to eat real quick and head to your place for alone time." I raise my eyebrows saying the last, code for let's fuck, please.
"Okay let's go but I want to head into another store real quick," I nod, we walk out of the store and around the mall finding whatever she is looking for. I look just like any other annoyed partner who doesn't want to be here.
but this is me trying
She seems to notice my change of behavior which says that I have been acting different and well I blame that on Magnolia and her perfect smile.
It's like she's all I think about and I can't help it. I want to know her and maybe this has to do with the little crush I have. But I can't let it turn into anything more, she doesn't even know that I'm engaged and well she could be in a serious relationship for all I know.
She's not, I already asked Niall.
"So flowers for the wedding, I was thinking something like white. I believe white roses are our best bet." Victoria turns her body slightly towards me as we make our way to a small Italian restaurant.
