"I'll do it!" Eren said with his eyes filled with determination,
"Well said, you have a heart of an lion." Pyxis said as he patted Eren on the shoulder, he then walked to the edge of the wall,
"Senior officers, come gather! We have a strategy to establish." Pyxis called out,
"What? It's just a wild idea. I didn't think it would actually be executed." Armin said in shock,
"I was thinking the same thing." Eren said,
"Well, there's no point in wondering with his judgement. Commander Pyxis probably sees something that we obviously can't." you said,
"Something we can't see?" Armin asked,
"Either way, before we execute this strategy, we have a fundamental issue. The Commander clearly understands the situation." Eren said,
"Which would be?" Armin asks,
"Our enemies are not just the Titans." he said, Armin gasped,
"I will have you actively participate, my young soldiers." Pyxis said, you all turned to him.
~And so~
"They have a strategy to reclaim Trost?"
"Seriously? There's no hope of plugging that hole!"
"What is the Commander thinking?"
"It's a damn suicide mission!"
"The only option is to defend Wall Rosa. Forget plugging the hole!"
"Some bureaucrat's pushing this through for the glory." All those whispers going on under the wall, the cadets were gathered up to talk about the strategy. You saw as Dauz got into some trouble and Marco trying to stop him. Even though you can't see them well, you can tell they were trying to find a way to escape.
Pyxis took Eren and were walking around the top of the wall, discussing something. You, Armin and Mikasa stayed back. People were starting to argue even more now, suddenly you heard Pyxis tell,
"ATTENTION!" everyone immediately shut up and looked up at the Commander,
"I shall now explain the Trost Recovery Operation. Our primary objective is to reseal the hole." Pyxis said, everyone had a disbelief look on their face, the face saying 'You've got to be kidding'.
"As for how the task will be done, first, allow me to introduce someone. This is Cadet Eren Jaeger." Pyxis said, Eren stepped up beside him and did a salute, you looked down to your classmates who were shocked, it was normal.
"This young man is the successful product of cutting-edge research. Cadet Jaeger possesses the ability to manifest himself as a Titan." Pyxis said, Connie and a few other classmates were shocked, they weren't there when you witnessed Eren emerging from the Titan. Pyxis continued,
"Having assumed Titan form, Cadet Jaeger will hoist that immense boulder on his back and seal the hole with it. Your duties are to protect him from other Titans."
"We don't actually need to fight them?" a soldier asked Armin as he explained the plan, you three and two other soldier were behind Pyxis, explaining the operation,
"Sorry, I know it's not my place to interject." Armin said nervously,
"It's all right. Just go on with what you were saying." the soldier said,
"Right. Titans are generally drawn to large groups of people. If enough of us collected in the corner away from the hole, we could lure the Titans away from Eren's path." Armin explained, "The Titans will be grouped together so we can use our cannons and avoid casualties. Of course, we can't leave Eren defenceless. We'll need a modest band of Elites to act as his bodyguards." you nodded, you obviously wanted to sign up for that role, and Mikasa probably will too.
"Also, there may be Titans that enter through the hole. He will depend on the competencies of his bodyguards." Armin finished,
"Okay, got it. We can alter the plan around that." the male soldier said,
"This strategy depends on Eren being able to move that boulder. But there is nothing to assure us that he is able to do it." You poked in,
"Of course, I worry, too. Sending people to their death is no laughing matter." The male soldier said,"But I can understand what the Commander is thinking."
"Yes. Time is an issue. Titans are still lumbering into Trost as we speak." The female soldier said, "The longer we wait, the more Titans fill the town and our chance to succeed decreases."
"With that, the chances of Wall Rosa being breached increases as well." the male soldier said,
"There's something else, too." The female soldier said, you all turned to here, you nodded,
"There's a limit to how we can surprise our fear." you finished for her, she nodded.
"IT'S A LIE!" a voice shouted from the crowd, you turned around, recognizing that it was Dauz,
"You can't expect us to die for some godforsaken reason! What do you think we are? We are not tools for you to play with." he yelled, after that, more and more insults started coming. You kind of lost your cool. You wanted to go down there and punch Dauz but Mikasa read your mind and pulled on your arm. She shook her head and you sighed. People started walking away and you gasped,
"What should we do?" you said, you looked at Pyxis,
"Anyone wishing to leave will be given by my orders not be charged with treason!" Pyxis yelled, everyone looked up at him, your eyes widened,
"Those how have seen a Titan firsthand will not be expected to relive it again. Anyone that knows the hours of a Titan, leave us!" Pyxis said, the people who were leaving froze in their tracks,
"Additionally, whoever knows the horror of a Titan but wants their own family to experience the same horror, leave us!" Pyxis yelled, everyone stiffened at the mention of their families.
"Not that..." someone said as he imagined his daughter being eaten.
"If we must die! Let's die fighting!" Pyxis said, Eren turned to look at you, you gave him a determined but reassuring smile.
"You can do this Eren." you mouthed, he smirked,
' I won't let you guys die. We're going into the Scouts together!' You thought.
