After finishing off another titan, you saw another titan running towards the back, it must be an abnormal.
"Mika!" you called out. Mikasa turned to you and you pointed to the titan. She nodded, you both then set out at full speed towards the titan. As you got closer, you noticed there were some other soldiers chasing it. Mikasa boosted her speed and sped past the soldiers, she swiftly sliced the nape off before the titan reached the civilians who were evacuating and you landed next to her,
"Smooth." you whistled. Then you both turned to the civilians in confusion,
"Hey... What are you all doing?" you asked the crowd of people,
"Good timing! Make these morons push my wagon!" a guy said, "I'll pay you handsomely!" You and Mikasa's eyes widened,
"Right now, our comrades are dying back there. We can't help your crisis." you said,
"Exactly! It is your duty as a soldier to die for the survival of the citizens! Don't get high up on yourselves because of the safety we had for the past hundred years!" the guy shouted,
"Don't ju-!" you started to explain, then Mikasa put a hand on your shoulder, "Mika?"
"You're too kind Y/N, let me handle this." she said with a emotionless expression, she then jumped off the titan and started walking towards the guy,
"I wonder if they understand the value of one person dying for the sake of someone else? At times, the death of one is necessary to save many." Mikasa said as she got closer to the guy,
"Don't you even dare! Your commander and I are old friends! One word from me and you'll be court martial!'he growled, his guys started charging towards Mikasa. You quickly stepped in and easily knocked them out, then you watched as Mikasa went up to the man,
"How will a dead body speak?" Mikasa said, she then raised her blade and swung it down,
"Wait!" he screamed, she stopped when the blade was right above his neck,
"Sir..." his assistance said,
"...Pull the damn wagon out..." the guy said, they pulled out the wagon and the civilians quickly rushed out. As you let go of the men and Mikasa put back her blades, you both heard a small voice,
"Thank you Misses!" a little girl said,
"Thank's to the two of you, we'll live." the mother said, you and Mikasa's eyes widened, then you both saluted at the two as a sign of respect. The mother quickly bowed and they both left.
"Great job." you smiled, Mikasa smiled back, you both started making you way back.
"Good work you two. I'm impressed." your commander said,
