[A/N]: Yes that's right! I'm back with another chapter! I have this whole story planned out, and I intend to see it through. NOW WARNING: This chapter has sexual content in it. That is to say, it's a lemon. The sexual content starts and ends with *. If you wish to skip this part, just go to the next *. You won't miss anything vital to the story, just some steamy content. ;)

"What do you mean I'm joining RED?" [F/N] folded her arms over her chest. "I never signed up to be a mercenary."

"You showed up here randomly," Helen, the infamous Administrator began, gritting her teeth yet maintaining her typical professional composure. "Without a trace of who you are or where you're from." Miss Pauling stood behind the circular chair, observing the events unfold while refusing to make eye contact with [F/N]. At one point Dell was in the room with the women, trying to defend [F/N] and explain the crazy situation, but Helen shooed him away – finding his explanation less than satisfactory. "You expect me to believe you're from some other universe," She seemed to sit on this thought for a moment but dismissed it for the second time. "And that you came to the RED base without any sort of ill-intent or contracted work."

[F/N] took in a deep breath, preparing to speak again. As Helen raised her finger up, the young woman half expected her to tell Miss Pauling to get the gun and shovel. Instead, the older woman got up from her chair and made her way towards [F/N], heels clacking down on the smooth paved tiles all the while. "If we had found out anything about you, we'd have killed you." She stated, "However, your lack of identity makes you a useful asset to Reliable Excavation Demolition, you'd make an interesting class." Within seconds [F/N]'s head was tilted up via her chin, Helen took it in her thumb and index finger and observed her like a wild creature.

"A tenth class, how interesting."

My eyes shot open to the sound of a contented groan. I wasn't too sure if it was said groan that awoke me or if my body was just ready to resume function, but I was up. At some point during our snuggles, I had passed out, and clearly so had Dell. His arm was protectively wrapped around my waist as I was comfortably resting with my head on his chest. I reached into my pants pocket to get my phone – 3am and a text message. I unlocked my phone as stealthily as possible, not wanting to awaken the man underneath me. The message was from Jocelynn:

[Y/N], fuck, I'm so so sorry. I really messed up. It's just, I like you – a lot. But I wasn't thinking about your feelings. I wanna blame the alcohol, but I know that's no real valid excuse. Please apologize to Dell for me – maybe tell him I'm not as big a dick as I was? I hope we can still be friends...I'll wait for you to respond when you're ready.

A sad smile graced my features, it was hard to stay mad at her, even if the situation was less than stellar. Still, I hoped we could maintain a friendship. I figured I would text her in the morning – or late morning. As I shoved the phone back in my pocket, I felt the rumbling of a chuckle from the body below me. "Good mornin' Honey." He said softly, his free hand moving up into my hair again. "It's 3am." I retorted, tilting my head upwardly to get as good a look at his face as I could in such a position. I decided to dismiss the cute pet name for the moment.

"Had a bad dream?" He asked, his eyes narrowing as I scrunched my nose. "What gave me away?" A pursed lip was his reply as he pressed on. "Wanna talk about it?"

Hesitation lingered as I considered hiding this dream from him. The realistic nature was uncanny, and the likelihood of it taking place was even greater. I had yet to discuss the note I saw on his blueprint too, but I had a hunch that was what he wanted to speak with me about during the prior interactions with Jocelynn. His chest rose as he took in a deep calming breath, his movements soothed me, as if his body was cradling me. Taking his hand away from my hair and guiding it down to the swell of my back, he nudged me up further onto his form. Eye contact was no longer optional.
