Tsuna could not describe enough how glad he is to see the young soldier, his figure stood out like a light of hope for Tsuna. Though, he's quite taken aback by the formal attire the knight is wearing, along with the gold plated cuff links.
His best guess would be that Max is also attending the dinner.
Max's eyebrows creased together, forming a rather troubled expression, His eyes wandered around the room and trails back to the two figures in front of him, "Your Highness? Are you perhaps... lost?"
'Had it been so obvious?'
Tsuna displayed a stiff smile, unsure of what to speak out. It's quite embarrassing for him, to think a knight know more about his home than him- a prince does.
He heard Mukuro clicked his tongue, presumably annoyed by the amount of time they've drained by standing still. He stepped out, a fierce gaze behind his enigma of eyes.
"Now that you've mentioned the obvious, lead the way." Mukuro spat out, a clear discomfort and bitterness added to his tone.
"You again- always so rude, but if it's for His Highness, I'd be glad to do it!" Max uttered loudly, his cheeks looked bloated trying to hide his anger and causing a scene with Mukuro.
Regardless of what he had pressed upon, Max continuously walks forward after edging Tsuna to follow him. He slowed down his steps, letting Tsuna slip first, leading the front with Max guiding him from behind.
Tsuna's back tickles from the amount of heavy tension behind him that could be cut off with a sword, he has known the two never came to find an interest in liking each other, but he never knew it'd be this terrible.
This feels like a replica of Mukuro's relationship with Hibari, just a line of venom.
It didn't take long with Max's patient guidance, he was clear with his words. Therefore, here they are, right in front of the grand door with dinner waiting behind it.
'Everything is always grand.' It goes the same with Tsuna's former life, he only remembers vividly the life he had without the exaggeration of the luxuries.
Tsuna believed that knocking wouldn't do any good, so he entered the room immediately. A wonderful variation of expressions greeted him, especially Leonhard's pricking glare.
Tsuna was almost baffled that they haven't started eating yet, they still followed the old fashioned etiquette of waiting until everyone has arrived even after Tsuna's late entrance.
Though, it seems his father ordered them to halt the process, considering the foul moods his brothers looked to be in. His father looks extremely delighted, Tsuna can see the shine in his eyes.
"Welcome! You both are quite late, but it's fine to take your time after such a fatiguing journey." His father beamed, gesturing both of them to sit down.
Tsuna gave his father a slight nod before walking to what he assumed to be his seat, as it is left deserted. Max kindly helped him sitting down like a gentleman and his chivalry.
"Thank you," Tsuna muttered to the knight, in which the knight responded with a wave and wide smile and took off to guard the door without helping Mukuro.
The purple-haired man doesn't seem to be bothered by the discrimination, he sat down without any extra words.
Tsuna peeked around, he was rather bemused by Licht's stomach grumbling and Kai's blatant stare at the empty plate in front of him. They are clearly at the peak of their limits.
