Luna walked to the back of the dark room, opened her hand to start the fire and sprinted at the wall. She put her hand in front of her and burned a hold through the shelf. The shapeshifter heard Luna throwing balls of flames at her. Luna dodged the fire and ran straight at the creature. Luna was about to hit it's chest but it created a shield of black fire in front of itself.

"LUNA, are you okay?" Rosalind asked, running to her side.

"I'm fine, just a little tired." Luna said, "That thing isn't Maria, it's a Dark Kingdom shapeshifter. In order to kill it we need to strike it's chest."

"Got it." Rosalind responded. As the black fire shield went down Rosalind was starting to control the vines. As soon as Luna could she saw the creature's face she attacked. Rosalind was behind Luna using the plants in the house to grab the shapeshifter's legs. That distracted the thing for a couple seconds, long enough for Luna to pierce it's chest. As soon as she hit the chest the creature faded to dust. Luna looked around and she saw that most of the furniture near her was burning, she immediately put the fire down and extinguished it.

"So Luna, are you going to tell me what just happened?" Rosalind asked, returning the plants to their original place.

"Oh right, that thing was a shapeshifter from the Dark Kingdom. It kidnapped the real Maria and locked her in a room behind the bookshelf." Luna said, showing Rosalind to the real Maria.

"Maria, are you okay?" Rosalind asked.

"Yes Princesa I am okay." Maria responded, walking out of the room and into the kitchen. It wasn't burned, only the couches in the living room were burned.

"Ms. Maria. I am so sorry about your furniture, I didn't mean to do that." Luna said, feeling guilty. Maria just smiled and tapped on a button on the counter. Right in front of Maria was a hologram, it showed the entire living room. Maria tapped on something that said renew and just like that the entire living room was back to normal. As if nothing happened. Luna was so confused and Maria probably noticed.

"This, Luna. Was a gift. This house came with unique features. I believe it was because my grandchildren are extremely messy."

"Wow, that is really cool." Luna said, sort of relieved. Maria smiled and said. "Luna, you should take a bath and head to bed. Wherever you are headed to is going to be tiring." Luna nodded and left Rosalind and Maria in the kitchen. As Luna walked up the stairs Rosalind asked, "Maria, why would the Dark Kingdom attack you?"

"That I don't know Princesa, but I may be wrong, but I believe someone is after Luna." Maria said as she made some hot tea. She gave Rosalind a cup and they both had a sip.

"Why do you think that?" Rosalind said, putting her cup on the counter.

"Your friend, she isn't from the Azar or Solana Kingdom right?"

"No she's not, well actually she might be, but I doubt it. Why"

"Her hair. When she first saw me, I saw chestnut brown hair with colored streaks. White, light blue and green."

"Right."

"When she burned the bookshelf her hair was blood red." Maria said, refilling Rosalind's cup. Rosalind just stared.

"Red?" suddenly all the memories she had of Luna with her hair changing color flooded into her mind. "Luna's hair changes color when she gets a new power."

Maria looked at Rosalind for a second then asked, "What makes you think that dear?"

"At the palace I saw Luna's hair fade from a green color, that happened right after I saw her running from growing vines, when I asked her about that she said it was a new power. Then when she discovered she could speak to animals and speak different languages her hair was rainbow. Oh and when she was flying for the first time I noticed that her hair was fading from pure white."

"That's very interesting. What's her normal hair color?"

Rosalind took a sip of tea then responded "She has chestnut brown hair, with white, light blue and emerald green chunks."

Maria nodded, "Please follow me princess." she said. Maria walked to the library and fixed it the same way she had fixed the living room. She looked through the books and found a big book. She pulled it out, it was a silky black color with gold lettering saying 'Magic of the World' . "This shows every single magic power ever in the universe. I believe I once saw a power that said the hair of the person changed color whenever they wanted to change it. It could be helpful. Take a look."

Rosalind nodded, taking the book from Maria. I was huge. Maria noticed Rosalind's reaction and chuckled. "Don't worry princess, it's magic, say the magic you want to find and it will open to that page."

"Oh thank you." Rosalind said as she walked up to the bedroom and sat on the bed. She could hear Luna humming and the water running. She touched the cover of the book, then hesitated for a second before opening it. "Um, magic hair."

The pages started flapping frantically. The pages moved so fast Rosalind's hair started to fly back. Then it stopped moving, the lettering on the book started to glow. Suddenly a door opened and out walked Luna in the light blue nightgown Rosalind had brought her.

"Whatchu lookin at?" Luna said, peering over Rosalind's head. She saw the words Magic Hair. "Huh, Magic Hair?"

Rosalind looked up and said "Maria figured that you aren't from the Azar or Solana Kingdom, the kingdoms that have fire magic, so she asked me about it and I explained it. Apparently your hair turned blood red when you started to use fire. So she gave me this book that has all the magic in the universe. I'm looking at how your hair works."

Luna was quiet for a second then nodded and plopped down on the bed next to Rosalind. "Let's figure out my weird hair."

Rosalind smiled. They both read the page. It said;

MAGIC HAIR

Magic hair is pretty rare. Only 0.2% of the magic world has this power. It's ability is not very powerful but it is unique. The person with this talent can change their hair to any color they want at any time.

"Well that wasn't very helpful." Luna complained. "I have never tried to change my hair color on purpose."

"Could you try right now?" Rosalind said, turning to Luna with a curious look in her eyes.

"Why not. Though I don't know how to."

"Um, let's try this. Look at my hair, then take a deep breath and think of it's color."

"Okay, here goes nothing." Luna started and Rosalind's hair and took a breath. She thought of Rosalind's rose red colored hair and waited.

"L-Luna. It's working. Your hair is the same color as mine."

Luna looked at Rosalind and smiled. "Cool!"

The girls were smiling at each other when they heard someone cough *ahem. They looked up to see Maria holding a tray with some tea. "It looks like you figured out her hair."

"Well, no. We haven't, we don't know why her hair changes color when she doesn't think of colors." Rosalind said.

"In that case, Princess Luna. You will have to find that out on your own." Maria responded, putting the tray on a table. "You are welcome to stay as long as you want. Goodnight!" and like that, Maria left.

Rosalind and Luna looked at each other for a couple seconds then Luna said "We should sleep. We can figure this out tomorrow." Rosalind nodded in agreement, turned off the light and they went to bed.
