FORMULA ONE CHRISTMAS PARTY 2019

"See, look at how fun this is!" Max said, In an attempt to cheer Allie up.

Max had brought Allie to the Christmas party, knowing full well she had no plans, unless sitting alone in her apartment eating all the Christmas chocolate she had purchased counted as plans. In Max's eyes, it didn't.

"It's so... fancy"

"I know right?"

"That isn't a good thing." Allie said, her voice harsh. Allie hadn't wanted to come to this party. 2019 hadn't been great for her. So many things had happened, whether it was family related, career related, or even related  the F1 season. Being best friends with one of the Championship contenders isn't fun. Especially when you're engrossed in the sport anyway.

Max sighed at his friend's bluntness. He walked in front of her, making her stop dead in her tracks and look up at him. "Take that stick out of your ass and cheer up. You've had a crappy year, so you may as well come with me to this crappy party, make fun of my crappy bow-tie and wash it all down with some not-so-crappy champagne."

Allie took a deap breath. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry I just-"

"I know Al. But could you please just not take it out on me. Or any of my friends for that matter." Max asked, his voice slightly softer.

Allie nodded. Max held his hand out for her to take, which she did. The pair approached a large building, lit up with hundreds of lights, people walking in in tuxedo's and dresses, much lik the ones Allie and Max were wearing. Max's tux was simple, and he had a black bow-tie around his neck (which Allie thought made him look  like the Queen's butler.)

Allie herself was wearing a long dress which puddle around her feet slightly, covering the old converse she was wearing. The dress had a slightly glittery appearance, but the fabric felt as soft as silk.

At the entrance of the building, Allie spotted Charles and Charlotte. Charles was dressed in a suit very similar to Max's and Charlotte was wearing a long red dress, and her makeup matched perfectly. Charles spotted them and nudged Charlotte, who turned around to smile at them. She removed herself from Charles' side and jogged towards Allie, who greeted her with a hug. "Ah I've missed you!" Charlotte said as the pair broke away from the hug, liking arms with eachother and walking towards the two men, who had walked ahead.

"I've missed you too! We have so much to talk about." Allie said. Max and Charles were leaning against a wall, taking to eachother, (probably about racing) until the girls reached them.

Charlotte went back to Charles side, and Allie greeted the Monaguesque man with a fist bump."Hiya Al."

"Hey Charles." After all four had greeted eachother, they entered the large open ballroom, which had been decorated for the party. Whilst walking through a large crowd, Max had been greeted by a number of different Team Principles and drivers, until they reached the bar. Allie immediately ordered a glass of champagne, which she down in one go. Max stared at her wide eyed before shrugging. "Well, I did bring you here to get drunk."

Allie smiled sarcasticly at him, before ording another glass, one she made last. After about half an hour, Christian Horner had called Max over for a chat, so Allie was left alone at the bar. Suddenly, Charlotte appeared beside her, looking very out of breath. "Hey Al."

"Why do you look like you just ran a marathon?"

"Charles and I wear dancing. God I hate the stupid heels!"
