I woke up a few hours later to my phone ringing. "hello?" i answered still half asleep. "Dont tell me you seriously went back Em. Dont be stupid let me help you" Chris begged. How could i be so stupid to bring him into this? " NO chris just leave it alone. Ill be okay."I couldnt let him save me, because it would cost him his life. I had seen what Ty was capable of. I had seen him choke his own brother until he was inches from death. I had also seen him kill one of his crew for going against him. Just shot him in between the eyes without hesitation. "Em quit being so damn stubborn! what the hell? what if he starts beating your daughter?!" he yelled."He wouldnt do that. Hes always the sweetest when it come to Nana." I heard the door handle jiggle. "I have to go bye" I whispered and hung up. I closed my eyes pretending i was asleep. i felt the bed dip from him getting on. i could feel his breath on my neck as he slid his arms around me. "You will always be mine baby. If i cant have you no one can." he whispered in my ear. I knew there was truth in his words. I drifted off to sleep hoping i would survive another day.

The next morning when i woke up, Ty was still asleep. I wanted to see my baby girl Nana, but i knew if my mom saw me like this she would freak out again. Last time she saw my face all bruised up, she asked me what had happened. I told her that he hit me and she asked me why? what did I do? She wasnt at all concerned about my well being.Then again she isnt even my real mom. She married my dad when i was two. maybe that why she has always treated me like trash. She has been trying to take Nana from me for a while now. This would be the perfect reason. I started cleaning and making Ty breakfast when i heard the bed squeaking." Hey baby girl" He said as he turned my body to face him. I immediately look down at the floor not wanting him to see my face. " Look up at me" He grabbed my chin lifting my head. " Im sorry baby Girl. I didnt mean to hurt you. I Love you EMery. I'll make it up to you baby." I had heard it all before but i couldnt take fighting anymore so i nodded my head. "What do you want to do today baby girl? Anything you want." He told me with guilt in his eyes. The kindness never lasted long so why not take advantage. "Well i was hoping you could go pick up Nana, I really miss her." He looked at me as if he was going to say no. "Umm do you think You can cover up the bruises on your face, i dont think she should see that?"

"yes babe"

"Ok ill Pick her up" He grabs his keys and leaves. I go and check my phone and see 5 Messages. Thank God Ty didnt notice. I see they're all from Chris.

Dammit Em fine dont answer but think what youre letting Nana be around!

I feel the phone vibrate as another message pops up on my screen.

If you dont answer in the next 5 minutes im callin the police!!!

I immediately feel horrible for worrying him. I know he is just looking out for me but I dont need to bring him into my problems.

Im okay i fell asleep. I will be okay. Please stop worrying. Gna see Nana so we will talk later. promise. -Em

With that I deleted the messages and went to get ready to see my baby girl.
