No Happy Endings [ON HOLD]

Part 10

I ran out of our place and down the street with Nana on my hip and her backpack . I waited for Chris to pull up and i could feel myself getting more and more anxious as the minutes went by. What if hewoke up? What if he saw me? What if he saw Chris? Hes going to kill us! What the hell did i do? A normal person would have snuck out when he was gone but no I gotta be all bad ass and stab the psycho. I need to get as far as possible away, and i have the perfect place. I just need to get me a pre paid phone since Ty could easily check my outgoing and incoming calls. He bought me a new phone when we had gotten together. I thought that it was awesome because i wanted a new phone and he went out of his way to buy me it. Little did I know, that that was just one of his many ways to control me, 

I was lost in thought when I saw the headlights to Chris car. I hadnt noticed that Nana had fallen asleep. I put her in the back seat and buckled her in. She was such a heavy sleeper. She didnt even stir . I got in the back with her so she could lean against me. 

"What happened Em?" I could hear the worry in his voice.  I told him everything, even the part about stabbing and leaving Ty unconscious. "What are you going to do? You can stay with me as long as you need!" I know that Chris would do anything for me but I cant get him killed . Him just being seen with me will get him a bullet in the head.

"No chris. I dont want to get you more involved. Ill be ot of your hair tomorrow morning, I promise. I just needed to get away. " 

"I dont give a damn bout him. Id risk my life anyday for u ! Where are you going to go?" He asked.

" Im going to my real moms house. She lives like 3 hours away. Your the only one im telling though Chris. Im not even telling my dad or step mom so you have to keep it to yourself. Promise me." I begged him.  I knew my mom would take me and Nana in no questions. Shes been trying to convince me to move in with her for years but it was just to far from everything i know. Thankfully I never told Ty where my mom lived or anything about my mom. 

"I'll promise you on one condition: You have to stay in touch and let me visit you when i want." I laughed. 

"Of course Chris. You know I love you to death ." I smiled. We got to his house and went inside. I placed Nana on the couch and put a blanket on her. I told Chris goodnight and I went to lay on the other couch.

When i woke up the next morning, I called the phone service cancelling my phone. I was glad it was under Ty's name because there was a 200 dollar charge which would go on his account. Even though the phone was cancelled, i still felt the need to take the battery and sim card out just in case there was some random way for Ty to track me. You can never be too careful especially with my and my childs life on the line. I asked Chris to take me to metro pcs to get a new phone. No contract. No I.ds, i used a fake name because i was going under the radar. I called my mom once my phone was on and explained everything. I asked her to not tell my dad and if i could stay with her. I would get a job and pay rent and do whatever it took. Of course she agreed, and said not to worry because i would have free room and board. i dont know why I didnt go live with my mom sooner, maybe my life wouldnt be so screwed up now. We were heading  back to Chris's house to go pick up mine and Nanas things, We were taking a bus to my moms. 

"So, I was thinking... Maybe I could go with you, I have a month of vacation time and who better to spend it with then my favorite girls?" Chris asked with a smile.

"Chris this is dangerous i dont want to risk your life." I told him even though i would love for him to come.

"SO you dont want me to go? Im not scared of Ty's punk ass Em. " I shook my head telling him that it wasnt a good idea. 

"Fine Em I wont go with you. Ill go on my own, I always wondered what it was like there. And if i so happened to bump into you well that would be a coincidence. " He said with a smirk.

I rolled my eyes and was about to respond when his phone lit up. He checked the caller I.D and i saw his face, anger mixed with "oh shit', I felt my stomach sink because i knew exactly who was calling....
