Chapter 2

On Eeps way home, she was on cloud 9. Everyone in the valley can tell the moment they looked at her. The way she walked looked almost as if she was floating. Her emerald eyes gleamed of sparkles. The smile planted on her face was as wide as the valley local lake. If she could smile any harder her own freckles would have smiled themselves!

As she walked back to her cave, her mind had a million things at once running. ( What should I wear? Should I change my hair up? I wonder what he'll think of me? I bet he smells like wilderness and berries) as she continued thinking about tomorrow, her mind was interrupted by her mother's voice.

"Eep where have you been?" Ugga asks as she makes the family famous meatball.

" I was just pin paling Guy"

" Eeeep didn't I tell you to stop pin paling that cat fish? And who is guy"

" I know I know but I managed to find a way to still talk to him and not become excessive like before! & That's his name isn't it unique?"

"More like weird if you ask me" Gran says as she sits in her rock spot and no food the Monkhuahua laid in her lap asleep.

"Okay I guess it's alright long as you make time for your friends here and your family. I'm just worried you'll become obsessed..remember when you were obsessed with Kevin?"

"Oh no no mom, this is totally different from my crush with Kevin. I am now a mature young woman now." Eep says with her head held high and her hands on her hips.

" & speaking of young woman mom... Guy agreed to come tomorrow morning and I told him I will show him around the valley...alone."

Ugga stopped mashing the ball together and looked at her daughter with concern.

"Ehh I don't know Eep , you alone with a boy nobody knows about or ever met? Maybe Grug shou-"

"NO! Please mom I can do this. Please trust me I just want to show you guys he is in fact a real hot- I mean a real boy who is super nice. Plus he hasn't been around people in 9 years so I thought maybe I can bring him around to show how people live currently. Pleaseeee" Eep says with her pug eyes and even mastered the fake tear drop!

Ugga stares back but slowly starts to give in.
*sigh* "oh okay fine but please be cautious and don't let amber attack him or let Grug see him. You know how he feels about you alone with boys."

" Yea I know, I promise" Eep says with her giant smile forming once again.

(Tomorrow is going to be so amazing.)

As the moon slowly goes back down and the sun rays peak out from the horizon of the valley, the rays gracefully fall on Eeps face causing her eyes to flicker open. "Today's the day" she whispers excitedly.
As she sneaks her way out the cave she hears her father.
"Eep where are you going so early?"
"Oh um....I promised to show the new kid at my school around the valley before it's gets to hot to go out."
"Well I didn't hear anything about this" He grumbles.
"Oh I thought mom told you last night. I volunteered to show them around because as you know, you're the valleys leader and as the eldest daughter I must follow under your footsteps and show leadership as well." She says nearly turning white.
"Hmmm I supposed...alright be safe and come back home before dinner."
(Stroking his ego never fails)
Eep smirks
"Okay dad see you later love you!" She says running off towards the pit.

< shifting to Guys first pov>

I could hardly sleep with the excitement filled in me. I died the fire out and picked up Belt gently and laid him on my neck as I start heading towards the end of the pit. Each step more excitement grew within me. "I'm really doing this... I'm really going to meet Eep after so many nights of messaging each other through rocks!" Belt stirred a bit and it reminded me to be quiet. Just because I couldn't sleep doesn't mean I make my own pet stay up with me.
After 20 minutes of walking towards the end I finally made it.
"It looks pretty steep. Hmmm"
I hear a faint noise across the pit and it makes me look up.
There she is.
Eep.
