Third POV

The Dursleys were much as Esther expected them to be. Vernon resembled a Pug with a long face, whereas Petunia resembled an ostrich with her long neck and beak-like nose. Dudley looked like a horrid mixture of the two, as he, unfortunately, inherited both the neck and the face from his parents. As Esther made breakfast, she was distinctly reminded of her Grans bakery back home. She softly sighed as the happy memory made her miss her family ever so much.

"Whats's taking so long, Freak!", Pug, apologise, Vernon barked.

Esther immediately rushed to finish cooking. Her new memories told her that a slight mishap would lead her to no food for the day. Vernon gave her a disgusted look as she lay the food out on the table. She rushed back into the kitchen, she was not allowed to eat with them. Esther knew that she wasn't getting breakfast today, so she rushed out of the house and began weeding the garden. The quicker she was done, the better chance she had to take a trip to The leaky cauldron.

It took her two hours to finish doing all that Petunia had laid out for her. Now she stood in front of her, fiddling nervously.

"Pe-Aunt Petunia, could I go outside for a bit?" Esther hated how weak she sounded.

Petunia glared at her with her beady eyes and said in her shrill voice, "You better be back before 10."

Nodding quickly, Esther sneaked out the money memory her had saved and bolted. The trip to the leaky cauldron took some time, but upon arrival, Esther had never been more amazed. It was in front of her, but at the same time, it wasn't. It was as if she had been seeing something with a double lens. The magic that surrounded the musty pub had been formed into multiple barriers. Esther felt the magic flow around her. The feeling was odd, something she wasn't used to. Though the scent around the pub was hardly pleasant,  Esther trudged over to the door and entered the building. The place was rather desolate for a famous pub. Walking over to the bartender she identified as Tom, she reached out and tugged at his robe.

Tom looked down in surprise at the Avada Kadavra green eyes staring at him. Smiling he bent down to eye level and asked, "How may I help you, young lady?"

"Mama said to go to Diagon Alley, mister. Do you know where it is?" Esther slipped on the innocent girl mask.

"Of course, follow me kiddo."

Tom led her to the back and tapped his wand in a particular pattern that she immediately memorized.

"Hope you find your Mom, young lady."

"Thank you, mister."

Esther walked into Diagon Alley and forced down a squeal. The place was as she hoped it would be. Dark, mysterious, and magical. Grinning to herself, Esther made her way over to Gringotts. Entering the first door, she caught sight of the poem.

"Enter, stranger, but take heed
Of what awaits the sin of greed,
For those who take, but do not earn,
Must pay most dearly in their turn,
So if you seek beneath our floors
A treasure that was never yours,
Thief, you have been warned, beware
Of finding more than treasure there."

Esther really did like the Goblins. She walked over to a stall and came face to face with the very same goblin that Harry had first met.

"Greetings Master Goblin, may your gold flow freely." She bowed lightly, taking in the Goblin's shocked expression.

"And may your enemies fall at your feet, Lady..?"

With a sly look, Esther leaned forward and whispered, "Potter."
