"Agent 37"
I have a name, you know.
"Your mission is to meet and befriend Analise Sampson. You will the need to succeed in taking her away from her household. You are going back to the 1836. Think of your excuse."
I smile as I think up a fake reason to be in the town.
Me and Analise are gonna get along just fine.

"...llo? Hello!" A voice with a soft British accent is talking to me. But she sounds concerned. I open my eyes to see a small girl.
"Thank goodness you're alright! Shouldn't you be at school? Why are you slumped against this tree?" The girl bombards me with questions as a nametag appears in front of her. "Analise Sampson, Age 17, Target ✓"
I sigh and take her outstretched hand. "My apologies. I was on my way to school, but I got lost. I must've sat down to get my bearings but fallen asleep." Is stand with her help. "Jane Morris. What's your name?" She smiles softly at me, "Analise Sampson."
She gasps as she looks down to my new dress. "My Lord! I love your dress. What school do you go to?" I rack my brain for an answer. "Ah- Ms. Gilbert's School for Successful And Talented Children. I'm new there, but so far it seems lovely."
She pulls her hand away from mine, and only now do I get a chance to inspect her appearance. A dark brown braided up bun and stormy eyes against fair skin. She wears what's almost a fancy nun's outfit with stockings up to under her skirts. She wears black boots with white embroidery and a cross, what I'm assuming is the school uniform.
"...Can take you there if you don't know he way." She finishes speaking as I zone back in. "I have about an hour until my classes." "Ah, Yes thank you. I'd appreciate that very much." She smiles yet again and takes my hand. I hike up my skirts as she begins to drag me.
"Ah, slow down! The skirts I can hardly run in, Analise!"
Ginger braids flew behind my head as I clutched my gold-lined jacket closed. Not soon enough we were at my new "school," though it seems more like an orphanage from the outside.
She pressed a bit of loose hair behind her ear. "I- I hope you'll have a nice day!" She exclaims panting. She smiles her same sweet smile and waves me a goodbye.
"We should talk after all our classes, yes?" "Oh! Of course. I would be pleased."
I waved to her as she turned away. I looked to the school behind me and stretched. Alright, E.V.E., take me to my new home!"

I rub my eyes as I come upon a small cabin at the edge of a lake. It seems cozy. I push at the door and find it locked. I take the skeleton key out of my jacket's pocket and press it into the keyhole. The door clicks open as I push the key back into my pocket.
I locate the bedroom and flop on the bed. "Oof!" I feel my corset squeeze. "Dammit- I should've known..."
After getting into some more appropriate clothes found in a convininently placed briefcase, I can finally get some rest.
When I wake up, I remember saying I'd meet with Analise. She gets out in 30 minutes. I could make my way there now.
I pull on my dress after my seemingly hundreds of layers and my shoes, I'm ready to go.

"Analise!" I waved at her as she leaves the schoolhouse. She notices me and runs over. "Good afternoon, Ms. Morris- I mean Jane! Sorry, they have us call everyone 'Ms.' in class.."
"Would you like to go to the lake.. Or you could come to my home tommorow, for dinner!" I nod my head. "That sounds amazing, but for today we should just head to the lake."
