DESTINY

CHAPTER 7

“ COME TO MY OFFICE NOW MISS ARGUS”!  

That probably is the loudest yell that I have ever heard in my entire life. I didn’t know what his problem was but it gives me anxiety. So I ran to his office like a lightning but the problem was I didn’t know where his office was. 

Shit!

 Maybe, this will be my last day at work. As I was running through the offices looking for his office, I stumbled upon Stevenson. 

Oh, thank goodness. You have to save me now or else my life would end right now! I said while catching up my breath. 

Stevenson, can't even say a word when I put my hands in his mouth. 

“WHERE.IS.HIS.OFFICE.”? I asked him impatiently. 

Stevenson answered in a  confused manner. 

To right,  then turned around to the hallway and that the last office where the biggest was located. He says.

 Without further ado. I ran towards the office.
Oh my god. Is this my daily exercise? I thought to myself. 

Jesus … 

I arrived at his door while catching up my breath. Fuck! I stopped at the door for a minute to calmed down my nerves. I was about to knock at his door when again he shouted, again.

Don’t let me wait for too long miss argus, my patience was already run out.
I grew my eyes out as I heard him.
Oh, God. I’m done, for good. 

I open the door but I keep my head down. 

Good morning, Mr Xinger. I-i-i-I I’m sorry I was late. I said stuttering.

You better miss ArguS. He says in a demanding tone. 

I was in total fear. When he slowly walks up to me. 

I only heard his footsteps coming towards me. But I know he’s already in my front as I saw the edge of his shoes below my eyes. I shivered from the scent.  HIS SCENT. 

He lifted my chin with his fingers.
HIS TOUCH.

I didn’t even jut out from his action. I firmly stand bowed and looked down my head. I was sorry, right? So, I have to be sorry however, the next sensation was unexpected and far from my senses. 

 I shivered from the electrifying touch that was in his hands before me. How dare he? I thought.   I immediately dodged his hands but he –he –he pushed towards his body. He was now holding me. His hands at my back.  I can’t move and for a minute I was frozen. I was frozen not because of his touch but because of his words.

I,  when he whispered in my ears “how are you, miss millionaire”. It wasn’t a question, it was firmly a statement. Coming from him that was probably was hurting his pride. It didn’t matter to me who was he, but now, unfortunately, he's the boss. MY BOSS. 

I stand back and I looked up. I met his eyes. His deep green eyes. Like an algae green. His chiselled face, sturdy body, his nose, his lips that inviting me to kiss him. 

NO! I was out of my reverie when I heard myself. Shit!  I shouldn’t be gawking at this man. for fuck sake. I am gawking at a man right now, it should not happen or else I am doomed. DOOMED. 

Hoooo-oooooooo---oowwwww?

It was a long how for sure before I even finish my question, he already captured my lips. He was kissing me that I could feel the pain. He was biting my lips while grinding onto me. My eyes were open for the whole time. I didn’t respond to his kisses until he stopped. If he didn’t stop perhaps I was already clinging onto him now, like a leech. But no, I won't give him any hint. 

He pushed me. How dare he. 

Wait for what? I thought but my mouth blatantly spells it out. 

Did he just push me? I thought again. 

Fuck!! FUCK !! He said annoyingly but probably angry. 

Next time, keep your thoughts to your self miss argus. He said. 

I walk up to him slowly, while looking through his eyes. And I  slapped him hard. I was shivering from madness, frustrations, and anger. I was not afraid of anything. Not him.

I was not expecting that he’s the boss. If I knew from the first encounter, I would have resigned right away. But it is too late to turn back time. It is too late for me to go back. It is just that I was out of my reverie when I first heard his voice from the board room. 

This is harassment! You asshole. How could you! I said in total anger. I was shouting and perhaps I was heard by outside employees 

But no, there wasn’t any single employee near the area. 

And I bolted out from the office leaving him behind with palm on his face. 

Ouch! I just realized how hard that was when I felt the sting on my palms from slapping him. 

HHHHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!! I shouted as I wiped my tears. 

I didn’t even know I was crying, out of my conscious mind I wasn’t aware that my tears were streaming down my face. 

I was back from my old office when I heard the intercom rang. I heaved a sigh and answered it. 

The other line? The beast. No other than the beast. 

Go back here miss argus, you have a lot of work to do. I don’t know if I just misheard it that he was speaking now in a low tone.

 He was sorry? ha! I bet. 

I’ll be right back, SIR. I said gloomily. 

I was busy packing up my things when I heard the door creaked open. 

It was ROSE, she the general manager of this company. Apart from Stevenson, she's also my best friend here. 

“HI”, how was the foreword with mister CEO ? she asked in a mockery tone. 

Don’t get me started rose, I just had the most devastating introduction. I snapped at her annoyingly. 

Alright! She put up her two hands.

But, you better tell me everything in details, tomorrow. She said retorted while smiling. 

She's really beautiful. Rose was probably was the most gorgeous woman in this company. I thought to myself. 

Okay, if, I survived and alive after today. I joked. 

She walked out as she said, you better be in details Hansen. While laughing loudly. 

I just nod my head and heaved a sigh before I continued to what I am doing. 

After I went out to the old office I hesitated to go to my boss office. But I have to gather my strength. If not, Nah, I’ll be prying food in the streets. I have to pay tuitions for my babies next month. 

I don’t need to hide my tail just because … because … I was paid.
