chapter 5 - we are distant fighters.

Arriving at the massive factory, the trio were confused by what they saw. By just moving slightly to the left they could see that the massive factory, got smaller almost instantly. By walking inside, they could see that the ceiling was at a significant slant, almost straight down. "ALL RIGHT, WHERE IS EATHER?!!" onyx asked in a not so silent tone. "he's not here. Do you think we'd let him back in here after what happened at the school? Where you not watching the news?" the owner asked walking in. "of course we were, but I just need any details of where she went." Onyx explained. "Is it just me or is she taking after Gater?" Charlie asked and eve gave a little chuckle. The owner took them into the main room where the tech was being made and it all looked legit to the other two, but onyx wasn't convinced.

"Tell you what, why don't you take a free sample?" the owner askes as onyx picked up some kind of remote. Suddenly there was a loud crash and the trio looked down to find that someone, two people, had broken into the factory. The hole in the wall wasn't something that a simple poster could cover up and she recognised the duo as the people from the race track. "You there. Stop!" onyx told the duo only to be sped over too and pushed to the ground. "What are you going to do about it?" the one person asked, holding her down by standing on wrists. Her bag was only a few inches away, but she couldn't reach it. Charlie jumped down to try and help but she was attacked by a laser. "Where did that come from?" Charlie asked as she tried to rise up, only to crash into the concrete wall, cracking it.

Eve looked from side to side and she tried to find something to help. She grabbed onyx's bag and looked through it, only to find the small wrist device that onyx had been working on before. She also found the android core and attached the two, before removing her sweat band, showing of some copper staking out of her sunken skin, slapping it on her wrist as if she had done it before. She then turned the diel on top and found the resistance symbol and pressed down on it. She walked out and was immediately hit by a laser, but it bounced off of her and into one of the chains, knocking the steel beams out of the chains and onto the first person. Onyx was able to break free and grab her sword to ram it into the first person when she noticed that there was a pool of some kind of liquid spilling out of it. It wasn't red, but it was a dark brown. It was almost like some kind of oil; however, her inspection was cut short by Charlies yells for help as the multi tool had been hit away from her and closer to the other person.

Onyx looked at his and noticed a small green semi sphere on it. It couldn't be, could it? She didn't care at that moment and she called the multi tool to herself, using some of her remaining gravity power. It landed in her hand as she shot a boiling wear blast at the man, creating a hole in the body, before tangling the man up in vines. "no one should be able to live with a hole that big n their chest, who are you and how did you get... this?" onyx asked ripping the semi sphere off of the man and showing that it was the speed core. The man sighed and got to explaining who he was. "I am the fourth in my line of androids, unlike your friend there I am very committed to helping Eather make the world a safer place." Onyx looked back to eve who held the wrist device closely before running off. "Keep him here, I'm going after her." Charlie explained as she followed eve out of the building, leaving onyx to question the man further.

"what's wrong?" Charlie asked as she heard a loud noise and a flash of green light. "I've not been entirely truthful about why I need to find Eather. I'm not a regular human, I'm an android. A robot made with the express purpose of looking like a human or other creature. I am the first in my line and I was made with the purpose of blending in and taking the powers of everybody, just to make Eather stronger. I objected and I was placed in that pod where I was shot into his pocket dimension after he wiped my memory. However, when I picked up that device, I got all of them back. I just hope that you don't think any less of me." Eve explained as she looked down at her wrist, now having the ports reviled on it for the wrist device. "of course, I don't, I'd be a hypocrite if I did."

"What do you mean?" Charlie sat down at the cliffs edge with eve and explained herself. "My mom had me with the thought of me becoming a pro athlete or a doctor to make her a lot of money. Once I started to lose my mind when onyx showed up with her fancy powers. Not to long after she helped me and I was kicked out for not being what she wanted to be. If it wasn't for Gwen and her now wife, I would be out on the streets and I would may not have even survive. In the few days that I've been here I've loved my life more than ever. I don't hate you; you were made for a specific purpose and you couldn't do that. That's fine, it just means that you need to figure something else out.

Eve got in close to Charlie and hugged her. "Thank you, I don't know what I would be doing if it wasn't for you and onyx." Eve responded as they headed back inside to find onyx talking to someone in a bright uniform. "what's going on here?" Charlie asked. "This is Luke, a member of the uni-guardians. He's here to take me back to the uni-guardian's HQ." onyx explained.
