the perfect powerless

chapter 1 - waking up, breaking out.

As she was walking, she noticed that their where other creatures crawling around. They had black, Beedy eyes hat staired into her soul. One of them then let out a screech and three of them came charging towards them. She started to run as fast as she could, without burning up her remaining speed energy, and made it to the HQ where she blocked it off from the creatures and she got moving up. When she reached the top of the tower, she found a pod lying in the main training room. The woman wasn't wearing anything to noticeable but she was wearing a sweat band that covered part of her arm. She looked it over and saw a name embedded onto it. "E.V.E" she started to smash the glass in and soon she could see inside.

Inside was woman lying in some kind of stasis. She tried looking over the pods settings and found a button to replace the woman from the stasis. "Where am I?" she asked, jolting awake. "Hay, calm down, do you know what your name is?" onyx asked to the woman and she responded that her name was Evelyne. "Ok, that's good to know. Now then, do you know where we are?" "no." "do you know what you were doing before you ended up in this pod?" onyx asked. "I was trying to help my dad out with some sort of experiment when he tried using this pod to help me get powers, I don't remember much after that." Eve explained. "that's ok, that's more than I could have come up with last time I was in a scenario like this. Do you know if you can walk?" onyx asked and while eve tried her legs were asleep. So, onyx sat down with her and talked.

"Who are you?" "My name's onyx." "How did you get here?" "I was fighting someone and after he won, he tried to get rid of me, I guess it didn't work." Eve looked scared and when onyx turned around, she pulled out the multitool and tried to hit it with the lightning whip but it didn't do anything. The creature was made out of a grey smoke, onyx did the next best thing. She stood in front of eve and made a stance, before eve finally stood up and they ran as fast as they could. Onyx was able to use the multitool's speed mode to give them a burst of speed and they were able to hide out in a different room. "What do we do?" eve asked. "We need to find the dimensional week spot and create a dimensional cracker." Onyx explained pulling a small tool out of her backpack and pointing it around. Soon heir was a beeping and she had her location. "We need to get past them. I think we have to get out this way. Brace yourself." Onyx stated as she jumped out of the window, with eve, on the tallest building. She was able to slow their descent with fire jumps but they had to touch down and continued to move on.

They soon found themselves at the base of the building where onyx first arrived. It looked different; it didn't have a massive hole in the building. They tried to open the door to find that the door was blocked off. Onyx forced her way through the door using the boiling water function to cut around the door and break it down. Once thy entered they scrambled to put the door back together, when another person come up from behind and help to barricade the door. When onyx looked up, she recognised the suit of the woman and knew it was the masked woman from her first fight in the dimension. "What are you doing here?" onyx asked with an accusatory tone. "When my usefulness ran out, he decided to get rid of me. I thought I was going to die." She explained sinking onto the floor and into tears. Onyx held herself back. "I know the feeling. Why did you take those kids?" she asked sinking down with the woman. "I had no choice. I either did it or he would kill my husband and child while making me watch. Or I guess ex-husband." "What was the kids name?" "Jason, but he kept calling himself V." she explained and onyx's eyes lit up. "We are going back and I am going to kill him." "what's wrong?" eve asked.

Onyx starts to run up the stairs and started working on the machine. Karen and eve walked outside to gather what they could. "Do you think this will work?" "No idea, but I hope so." Karen responded as she looked around. She looked at eve's hand and it was starting to glow like one of the lost people they have been avoiding. "what's going on?" Karen asked moving back. "I don't know, but it feels natural." It remained at just her hand and they moved on and gathered the materials. They returned to see that onyx had made all of the bare essentials made and ready to be put back together. "Wow, you did all of this in 10 minutes?" eve asked. "Sure did. I don't know but something was dragging me and compelling me to go through and get it done." Onyx explained making the finishing touches on the device.

"When these opens, we still only have 5 seconds to get through so on the count of 3 we jump. 1...2...3 jump." The trio did so and landed on the destroyed building. "So, what's next for your onyx?" Karen asked. "I'm going to track down Eather, and get my cores back." "I know I shouldn't ask, but are you insane?" "Yes, I am, and I need those cores to get back home and to save the dimension, and possibly universe." Karen shook her head and came clean. "I'm going to go and get myself locked up. It's what's best from my EX and my son." Karen explained getting up and walking off. "What about your eve?" eve looked back at the hand that had been saturated with that unknown energy and stated "I'm going to go with you. I have nothing else can I need to find him Aswell. For my own reasons." She explained. "We should go and get surplices then. As the duo walked down, they found a face outside that only onyx recognised. "Charlie?" she asked.
