Did not see that one coming...

Eight. Fucking. Hours. Eight hours, and we hadn't even gotten to the airport we were heading for. This one didn't have metal detectors, it was a private facility owned by Hunter's Uncle, Greg. Honestly, I hadn't remembered the trip being this long, but then again it was over a decade ago that I had been. Most of the car ride was silent, it still was silent, and it was nice, I'll admit. But my peace was short-lived. Ashton had turned on the radio. Great. We had two, totally different music tastes. I was into Pop and the 80's, as weird as it may sound. Ash, on the other hand, listened to hard-core death metal and rock. Things such as Disturbed, ACDC, Guns And Roses, Metallica, Limp Bizkit, Linkin Park, Three Days Grace, Asking Alexandria... Need I go on?

I mean, none of those bands were bad, but I had to be angry, or on the verge of beating the shit out of someone to listen to that crap. But, unfortunately, my brother didn't need a violent spree to listen to this kind of music. But, it wasn't so bad. Pierce The Veil, I think. King For A Day, featuring Kellin Quinn, the lead singer of Sleeping With Sirens. God, what had he done to me.

Suddenly, Hunter jammed his thumb against the button on the dash. The car went completely quiet. Oops. I think Ash had forgotten that Hunter was a hard-core, die-hard country fan. I chuckled quietly under my breath, waiting for the string of profanities to leave my brother's lips, but it didn't come. Instead I heard a small laugh. It was Hunter. Had he just... Giggled? Jesus. I looked over to him, he was actually smiling. My brother, however, was pulling way from his ear, as if he had whispered something into it. That was probably why Hunter shut off the music. He usually had a pretty good tolerance for our "Waste Of Talent" music.

I was a little jealous. Hunter had always payed more attention to my brother. He laughed at his jokes more, and most of all, he wasn't so strict with him. In fact, he was way too lenient with him. Not to mention Hunter seemed to hold Ash above most of us. His needs came first. I suspect that it's the fact that he's the youngest, or the weakest of us all. He needed the most protection, I didn't. Overall, I'm a fighting machine, I never hold back, and I don't have regrets when someone threatens my family. My brother, though, has the hardest time even hunting the deer in our back woods. He says "Peace and love, not war and violence" He is such a nerd.

I mean, I'm talking about the boy with an obsession for the Japanese culture, language, and art. An Otaku, I believe is what it's called. Manga is the only thing he reads, and I'm pretty sure he's seen more than a dozen animes in the past three months. Bleach. Ouran Highschool Host Club. Black Butler. Fruit Basket. Fairy Tail. Girl's Bravo ( Which I did not approve of.) Attack On Titan. Kazu No Stigma. Norogami. Vampire Knight. And a list of others that I will never remember the names of. I've seen two of them, and they both bored me to death. I complained and whined until he dubbed it in English. I refused to read the sub-titles that were completely inaccurate as to what the characters were actually saying. I'll admit, I was a brat about it, but I didn't care. I wanted to at least understand what they were saying if I was going to watch a damn Japanese cartoon. But anyways, it seemed that we were almost at the airport. Maybe a mile, or so until we got there. Hunter had explained that we wouldn't be seeing anyone, and that we were riding, first-class in a small, black jet plane. "It will be a tight fit, but it'll get us there the fastest."

He had droned on about. I just nodded in compliance, knowing I could trust Hunter's instructions as well as I could trust my brother being my brother.

As I said, it wasn't long until we hit the airport, and it took even less time to shove our bags and weapons into the Jet's cargo storage. We loaded on with Huntt leading the way. There was already a woman in the front seat of the plane, whom was very attractive and giving Hunter a look that I was instantly jealous over, But, I had no right to feel envy, he wasn't mine to keep, nor would he ever be, as he had made that clear the last time he had left us. It was an argument that I'm not willing to explain, or re-live. Anyways, Ashton had wandered to the very back of the plane, while I stayed up front. Though, it was completely pointless due to the fact that Hunter went to sit in the seat next to my brother. Of course. Oh well, I could definitely use this opportunity to get some sleep in. After all, we had at leas an eighteen hour journey ahead of us. So, likely to only fifteen minutes in, and I was already sleeping like a baby.
