chapter two

i woke up to the front door bell ringing. what the fuck and who the fuck? the sun isn't even up yet. i groaned, getting out of bed slowly. my room is the closest to the door so i always have to answer it. which is bullshit.

i looked through the peephole and saw a girl with black hair but her head was down and she had something in her arms.

i yanked open the door and she looked up, her eyes lighting up. she shifted on her two feet nervously and i stared at her, waiting for her to talk.

"um hi, it's nice to meet you. im your new next door neighbor." she smiled and i deadpanned, scratching my scalp. "that's great but why so early?" i asked and she blew out a laugh.

my eyes immediately went to her lips and that's when i woke up. damn she's hot.. i took a look at her briefly and she had shiny skin, light freckles dusting her cheeks, and bright blue eyes that i could just get lost in. her black hair was up in a messy bun and she had two thick pieces of hair framing her face.

she wore huge silver chains around her neck that moved when she spoke. her hands were adorned in rings, tattoos of all sorts covering them. her under eye bags were prominent and her perfect shiny teeth had some gems on them. she was definitely taller than me standing at maybe 5'7.

why is she perfect?

"neighbor?" she asked and grabbed me out of my daze. "oh sorry, it's so early i spaced out." i laughed and she smiled awkwardly. "well um, i was just asking if you could watch my cat while i was gone. i have a shift in about 30 minutes." she said and i looked down, a black cat with bright green eyes staring back at me.

"oh.." i looked at the creepy ass cat and grimaced. she was so cute and then she goes ahead and asks that dumb shit.

"it's completely okay if you don't want to or can't. i just thought it'd be nice to ask. and i have a whole bag packed for her and everything." she pet her cat and then looked up at me nervously.

"you're really pretty by the way..." she blushed as she said it, like been wanting to get that off her chest. i smiled warmly, "thank you, so are you but just um.. let her down right here and i can grab the bag."

she blew a breath of relief, "thank you so much, her name is nicole." she let her down to roam into my apartment. "oh that's my middle name!" i exclaimed and she nodded, "what a coincidence."

"yeah, sorry i didn't catch your name, what is it?"

"billie, my names billie." she extended her hand to me.

i grabbed her hand, shaking it firmly. "and im milanis. it was nice to meet you." she looked at our hands connected, her mouth slightly parted. she took a deep breath and looked to leave. "i'll be back at 2 to pick her up." she said and i nodded.

"have a good day." i smiled and she looked back, waving slightly. i closed the door and shook my head, watching the damn cat sit on my couch. i have literally never had a pet in my entire life.

i went to my roommate, jasmin's door knocking on it. "what? im sleeping bitch!" she called out and i sighed. "there's a cat sitting on our couch!" i said, knowing her love for cats. the door opened in about 2 seconds and she pushed past me.

"oh my god! where- how- when?" she sat down cautiously next to the cat, petting her slowly. "we have a new neighbor and she's hot as fuck. she asked if i could watch her because she has an early shift. the neighbors name is billie and the cats name is nicole."

"she's hot and she has a cute cat? you betta smash that, lani!" she exclaimed, obviously excited.

i yawned, way more interested in sleep than billie or nicole. "yeah well im going back to sleep, you have fun." i said, throwing myself back in bed, falling asleep promptly.
