sangmin's pov
the morning wind was rather calm. i kept walking and looked at the sky, there were a few clouds covering the sun as if they said it will be raining soon. my surroundings were, empty, i didn't see anyone at all, probably because it was quite early.
after a few minutes of walking i heard kittens meowing, i located the sound and saw a girl feeding the kittens, she wore the same uniform as me but...i never saw her in my school, so i assumed she was a new girl. i stopped and started admiring her. she seemed quiet short, her bangs were covering her band aid.
catching me off-guard, our eyes met as she turned her face towards my direction. i was a bit flustured but i walked towards her pretending i wanted to pet the kittens cause i didn't want her to think i was a creep staring at her.
i started petting one of the kittens softly. none of us spoke a word and stood there in silence either feeding or petting the tiny kittens.
i felt a few drops of rain fall onto my shoulder, in a second the kittens scurried off into the thick bushes, i heard the sound of a mother cat and i assumed the kittens were with her. i stood up from my position, the girl did the same.
it started to rain, a little too much and we ran to the bus stop. unfortunately the nearest bus stop didn't have a bust stand. i took off my blazer and used it to cover both of us. not gonna lie the atmosphere felt pretty romantic, it honestly gave me a idea for a song.
the girl looked at me and our eyes met. she whispered a thank you and i could see a tint of blush spread across her cheek. my mouth formed a smile and i looked at her as she started fidgeting with her fingers. i realised it maybe because of our distance, so i took a step back trying to maintain a distance. she may have noticed my action cause her blush grew pinkish.
i could see the bus arriving in the distance.after a while, the bus reached the stop. the two of us got inside, i was checking my pockets for my bus card, realising it's absense i started frantically search my blazer. realisation hit me that i must have dropped it somewhere.
to my surprise, i saw the girl use her card a second time, paying my bus fee.
i sat next to her and thanked her for paying my fee.
"just think of it as me thanking you for your blazer." she said, playing with the strap of her school bag.
