Anyways- someone wanted me to make a oneshot out of one of my headCanon's so here we are :)

Preview: Dream tries to sneak out to his normal hang out place. Nightmare catches him

No one's Pov

It was a late Wednesday night. About 11ish at night when dream decided it was a good time to sneak out of the house (he had been sneaking out for about a year now and he's never gotten caught so he'd like to tell himself that he's pretty lucky)

He quietly got out of his bed and walked to his dresser to get changed out of the Pj's he had been wearing

He put his blue shirt on and then got into a (oversized) dimmed yellow hoodie he got from ink a while back

As well as some grey tights with no patterns on them (he hated the look of patterns on pants they just look weird to him. Like why would you put patterns on pants anyways??)

He put on some tennis shoes from beside his bed (that was on the left side of the room) and looked under his bed for his frog wallet and took 5 dollar's from it. (he got most of his money from his chores and selling pretty rocks to strangers he saw around his neighborhood)

He put the five dollar bill in his jacket pocket and walked over to his bedroom window (He was lucky that his and nightmare's room was on the first floor)

        A few minutes earlier

Nightmare had woken up from the sound of shuffling and turned around from his staring contest with the wall.

He saw dream putting on his tennis shoes and then looking under his bed for something

Dream soon pulled out his special frog wallet that he only used on special occasions (shut up he totally doesn't keep track of what his twin does or where he's planning to go at..-) nightmare looks at his watch and reads the time as 11:24pm his eyes slightly widen from the droopy state they where in before.

He hears walking and looks at dream heading twords the window he panics slightly at the thought of dream going out at night alone

"Dea'm.?" Nightmare cringed at how slurred his speech was at the moment "w' y'u doin'..?" Nightmare cringed again as he heard his own voice

Dreams Pov

"Dea'm.?-" he internally coo'd at how cute his little brother sounded (he could practically hear nightmare saying something like "Your only 2 minutes older than me dream!!")

"W' y'u doin'..?" Dream had tensed up at that and weighed out his options. after rougly a minute passed by dream started to walk twords Nightmares bed on the right side of the room

Dream stood next to nightmare's bed with a soft look in his eyes "I'm going to go on a adventure bubs do you wanna come with me?" He watched as his little brothers eyes sparkled with excitement and confusion

"Fi' I'll come but only b'cau' you will get lon' by you'self an Im 'ice" Dream mentally coo'd at his baby brother again as he watched him slur his words over and over again

After dream composed himself he talked again "I'll give you a piggy back right when we start walking okay bubs?"

Dream watched as his little brother slowly but surely got out from under his covers "mkay al'o don't 'all me bubs not a baby" dream simply smiled at him and turned away so he could get dressed

Nightmare got off of his bed and headed over to his dresser with all of his clothes inside of it

He opened his top left one and picked out a nice dark blue turtle neck and a light blue hoodie (that he didn't steal from dream fuck off)

He then opened the middle left one and picked out a pair of stretchy jean shorts and put them on(he didn't understand how people like normal jeans there so uncomfortable to wear and they get in the way of everything)

He walked over to his bed and picked up some Velcro shoes (he doesn't know how to tie shoes yet- but it's fine because mom said she'll help him learn when she comes back home (she never came back home)

While nightmare got dressed dream walked over to to his bed and crouched down so he was looking under the bed

He then got the wallet from under his bed and pulled out another five bucks and then slid his frog wallet back under the bed

He proceeded to get up from crouching and put the money in his hoodie pocket
